Score from 168 reviews Very good
location - view superb / staff friendly/ rooms fantastic size
menu - when travelling with a child, would expect more variety than the a la carte menu.
Facing the annecy lake, quiet, wonderful stay! Food of the hotel is great, but just can be ordered by menu. Hotel is located in menthon, a bit far away from Annecy town, so better have your own car
Only the location
Too much fly in the room and no service also very old and dirty
you have to carry you laggae to your room , there is no boiler
The view of the lake. They change the linen everyday.
Uncomfortable beds Undated furniture Old doors. I managed to hurt my finger in order to open it. Only one restaurant which was expensive and nowhere else to eat. No facecloths available. WIFI - you have to re-enter password each time you log in.
Waking up to the view over the lake was fantastic. Swimming pool overlooking the lake was also brilliant, as were the gardens in front of the hotel.
Located in a very quiet village, just next to the Annecy Lake. The building itself is impressive on a small hill. Free outdoor & indoor parking under the hill. Breakfast is great, service is excellent. Must try the dinner at restaurant, menu of eur40 is really worth the price, with amazing view right on the lake. There is a beautiful indoor pool only for residents. Walking along the lakeside in the morning or twilight is the most joyful part during our staying. Everything is perfect!!
everything is perfect
Location at the lake. Staff was helpful finding an alternative room but even they admitted that all rooms in the hotel urgently need a face lift.
Old furniture and general appearance. Rooms do not look like on the pictures at booking.com. after complaining at the reception we got a room of a similar appearance but at least without a spider web in the room. Definitely not worth the money. Hotel lives in the past and is still trying to draw on its reputation from the past.
Beautiful view of the Lake. Room clean and furnished beautifully. Spa facilities good.
The conferences that were going on whilst we were there. Very noisy in the evening. A gentleman on the front desk very unwelcoming. Dinner menu the same each evening, which was disappointing.
The view The restaurants The staff The weather The Suite The lake
Restaurants are very good but pricey Limited choices on the menu
The room with lake view, the scenery and surrounding area, the food and wine. The staff were excellent and made us very welcome..
As this hotel is built into the hillside it is not disabled friendly, we had requested room to lift which was good and once staff knew I was disabled they responded accordingly. more needs to be done for the disabled traveller.
Top notch all round. Staff very helpful. Very good food at dinner.
Breakfasts could serve a hot choice?
Excellent position on the banks of the lake, we had a lake view room which I would recommend paying a little more for. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good, lakside restaurant in the Hotel grounds . Easy access by car to Annessy but arrive early as it gets very busy once the masses arrive.
Nothing to dislike.
Location is excellent, staff could not do enough for you, room super , swimming pool and steam room just great
There did not seem to be anybody staffing the bar in the evenings
Excellent view on Annecy Lake. Big closet. We spent four nights there and we enjoyed the stay very much.
Facilities poor - no gym, bar/restaurant not open
Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Although it was raining during our stay, the view from the windows was still fabulous. We took advantage of the swimming pool and really enjoyed our time there. Also, the ladies at the front desk and the gentleman who helped with our luggage were very friendly and charming.
The rooms and facilitys were excellent
Lack of restaurant tables led to an issue on our first night after long day travelling to be faced with no space in restaurant and having to drive around to find one was not a good experience
no AC in the hotel room was small
The swimming pool was excellent apart from having to go out in the rain to get there and back.
Being charged extra for a room with a lake view and put on the fourth floor in a side room surrounded by roof slopes with a small window at an elevated level so no chance of seeing the lake without being stood at the window. The staff said no other rooms were available when it was obvious that the Hotel was fairly empty and the restaurant in the Hotel was shut presumably because of the lack of guests.
Poor welcome with distinct lack of interest from reception staff which was mirrored by bar staff. Couldn't even have a coffee at 2.30 in the afternoon without walking approximately 100m, in the rain, to a tent in the hotel grounds, which in turn was closed. No restaurant facilities available within hotel building. The large tent which was supposed to be a feature restaurant. .
Nice view from the room, swimming pool
Restaurant is expensive, not fresh and not delicious food
Overlooking the lake. Hotel renovated to an excellent standard. Usual continental breakfast with bacon and egg the hot food alternative. At 18 euros per person breakfast seemed a bit pricey. Evening meal very good. Evening meal was in the Palace Beach marquee.
There were perhaps too many steps to negotiate to and from the restaurant back to the main hotel.
