We were made very welcome by the owner and enjoyed questioning her about the history of the building. The bedroom was very old and quirky and different from anywhere we've stayed before. The view of the cathedral from our bedroom window couldn't be rivalled and we enjoyed the gentle sound of the bells. The food was good and was accompanied by live jazz.

Very uncomfortable pillows - had to swap for one of the cushions off the sofa in order to get a reasonable nights sleep. Couldn't find TV remote and noisy bathroom fan stayed on for over 30 minutes after light was turned off. I picked my suitcase off the floor only to find a huge hank of someone else's long hair attached to it!

The hotel is right next to the cathedral, exactly where you want to be, and offers free parking in the main car park of the cathedral zone. The rooms have a lot of character and are a generous size. Breakfast was good.

Though the bath had a jacuzzi and a hand held shower, if we had been staying for more than one night I think I would have pined for a proper shower.

I particularly liked the central location. On the one side of the property is the old quarter and on the other the Cathedral. I liked the historic nature of the accommodation and the sympathetic restoration and very tasteful interior decorations. Dinner was delicious and the staff all extremely friendly.

i think maybe guests should be warned that there is no lift to the top floor.

    Location and character.

Accepting the fact this is a very old building, the rooms could do with maintenance/upgrading. Floor boards very noisy, doors & cupboard & fixtures could do with upgrading.

The location was pefect, our room overlooked the Cathedral. The bedroom was coisy, plenty of room to spreadout.

    Northing not to like

The building is full of character and it's location really is right by the cathedral. We enjoyed a delicious supper sitting outside gazing at the amazing architecture.

Breakfast was rather meaty; some fruit in place of some of the meat and cheese would have been welcome.

Right next to the Chartres Cathedral, in the centre of everything. Excellent continental breakfast. Friendly staff.

Modernist décor needs to be refreshed. Decent sized room. Clean overall but dusty blinds - could be overlooked for the advantageous location. Perhaps slightly overpriced.

The location was excellent, you can watch the cathedral light show from your sitting room. Food is good and our room (Henry 4th) was individual, large and comfy. Bathroom was quite small and needed more light. We would stay there again.

The hotel was right next to the cathedral. The staff were very helpful in putting our bikes away safe for the night. Excellent breakfast was included in the room price.

    Good location

Room overfurnished and gadgety unnecessarily. All a bit 'naff decor'. Price is for a smartish hotel and this is just a bar with rooms.

    Location

Dated- needs to be revamped- consequently a big grubby. Blue tack holding toilet door latch open. Poor value for money. Would not stay again unless remodelled.

What a charming place! Overlooking Chartres cathedral - the hotel is located right next to it- our suite featured a cozy sitting area, a comfortable bed and a great shower in the bathroom. The medieval basement of this house is impressive. The proprietor is a most welcoming person. Wifi, parking and breakfast are all included.

    We liked everything!

The location, the room, the jacuzi in the room, the bed, the enthousiastic receptionist who ran to show us the parking place and to open the municipal barrier in the road for us, and again the location, with an unlimited view on the cathedral.

The absence of proper fire escape routes, or even a rope ladder. But we survived:-).

Location, location location!!! Service, service, service!!! Funky is the word that comes to mind to describe the decor but it is a tasteful funky. We have stayed twice and will stay again.

If you aren't able to do stairs, request Bleue or Loius rooms.

The management and staff went out of their eay to make my stay a lasting experience. with its location virtually on the steps of Chartres Cathedral and the outside eating facilities that Le Parvis has, it was a great choice that I made to stay there. I will be returning soon to this magnificent town and Le Parvis.

    Having to leave.

I loved the quirkiness and uniqueness of this property. When you first walk in - you aren't sure if you are in the right place because you check in at the restaurant desk. Then you are led to your room. We had the Louis room looking out right at the Cathedral. We had a back exit from the room and could easily access the square and restaurants. We wished the jazz was on Tuesday night when we were there, but alas it is on the weekends. Great place to stay!

There isn't much to say really. The only thing I would say is that the door to the bathroom wouldn't close all the way, and leave the air at the temperature they have it set at. I turned it down to 22 and it made such loud noises all night I couldn't sleep.

Le Parvis is a small family run hotel, where the service is excellent and the location is superb. The breakfast is superb.

There was nothing that I didn't like about my stay at this hotel.
