Location. Close to transportation. Good value.
Carrying my luggage up four flights of spiral steps!
Very small, grotty room, small uncomfortable bed, noisy (within the hotel and from outside- lots of slamming of door&water systems all night!), lots of stair to lug bags up, no help from staff with anything
Location is central, near the metro and the busy streets of Saint Germain.
There is no elevator, you have to climb up 6 flights of steep spiral stairs. Not so good. You definitely have zero facilities. Very bad toilet, and we couldn't even find the shower. Didn't bother to use the shower (since we booked the cheapest hotel just for an overnight "locker" for our early morning flight the next day) coz we knew it would be bad!
In an excellent location. Hotel is a little run down, but for what we paid we didn't expect anymore. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend if your looking for cheap accommodation.
Location great. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean.
Older building and furnishings but that was ok with me because they keep everything very clean.
Location, very clean even though old furnishings
Small, quaint, felt very French!
A touch noisy
Location is the best in a wonderful Left Bank neighborhood. Great view on the world from our room. Needs a good cleanup, paint and new carpets. The price makes it worthwhile.
Needs a good cleaning, paint and new carpets. Be ready to haul your luggage up steep stairs.
Location is very nice!!
I've been a lot in hotels in Paris, but this one is the worst I've ever been. On top the guy at the reception tried to cheat me on the room and not to give me the one I've booked.
Cheap room at a very good location.
Shared bathroom means a shared toilet and a sink in the room. No shower or any bathtub! The room didn't smell fresh.
no facilities and very unsuitable for elderly/disabled
Easy walk to all the big attractions in Paris, it is not a 5 star hotel but if you do Paris right you won't spend much time there. An easy 10 min tube to the major train station. Clean and no bed bugs, perfect if you want somewhere cheap in the heart of Paris
This is a hotel with soul. It is no luxury, however atmosphere of the place and its surrounding is what you expect to feel in Paris.
If you have little money this hotel is the best place in Paris.
Very clean room, comfortable beds. Outstanding location.
Carpets a little worn but clean. Room was cramped and bathroom didn't have any shelving. Lots of street noise throughout the night and early morning.
Location is perfect
The guy of the staff i met on the night i was there on the 14 may he was so bad, not helpful for anything, and even couldn't fill out an invoice. The room over looking the street is very noi sy.
The destination is absolutely amazing as well as the staff and the atmosphere of the hotel. We also loved our room and the fact that it was on the 5th floor, so it had a balcony too! Who cares about the stairs, it's totally worth it! I need to highlight the staff's attitude once more, they were all very kind, polite, welcoming and supernice.
The Wi-Fi wasn't always working, but really, who goes to such a beautiful place to search the internet?
Perfect location. The hotel is a basic, budget hotel so I knew not to expect luxury. But it had everything I needed - a clean bed, clean towels, a shower that worked with plenty of hot water, clean toilet. For a one-night stay in Paris it was great value for money.
The hotel could use a little upgrading but if it did that, it would have to raise its prices. There are a lot of stairs (but this also meant we had a great view from our balcony) so it's not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Spiral stairs, somewhat grumpy attendant. No TV
The location is excellent, in the heart of the Saint-Germain des Pres district, very close to the Notre-Dame de Paris. The hotel is situated in the old building which attracts some interest.
Many things! The room was very small with the very old furniture, there wasn't any cupboard in it, the toilet was outside, my room was on the forth floor, there's no elevator, but for me it was ok. In addition to this also an unpleasant smell and a bad soundproofing. And the price was higher than the average one for the room like this in Paris.
the beds were comfortable and the sheets appeared clean.
shower did not drain. even after waiting overnight so the rest of family could take a shower without standing in 3" of water. handle on bathroom door pulled out when you opened door. no air conditioning. 2 café/bars across street plus one street musician right below our 4th floor window. constant chatter even at 3am. bathroom walls had visible cracks. stairs to the rooms were uneven, wifi though offered was difficult to stay connected.
Great location. Really good hotel for the price. Basic but clean, comfortable bed and powerful hot shower. We were on the top floor and got a good nights sleep. There was minimal noise and the brightly painted room made up for anything.
Only the entrance to the hotel could have been cleaner and more inviting but that is just an annoyance not something I didn't like.
The beds are comfortable, the location and the beds are the best.
Seems like they don't clean so often, the walls of the rooms are dirty. Also I had to asks so many times for them to fix the Internet and even in that way didn't work well.
The only reason for this is the location
Everything is terrible. It is not a hotel actually. I never come back.
