Nice, clean and comfortable rooms, the dinner was excellent and the staff so friendly and helpful, we enjoyed the htoel on the farm and the beautiful setup

It didn't seem a hotel just rooms with keys very small room were not advised that there would be no food available unless booked by eleven that morning (difficult to do if travelling) weren't advised on website that even though dogs allowed in hotel if the restaurant had been open dogs not allowed in when we returned from driving to nearest village for dinner at 9pm the reception was locked lucky we took our key when we wanted to check out in the morning at 8am and pay we had to knock on several windows to attract the attention of the cleaner to open reception door

We found it a bit difficult to find. But there again we took a wrong turn at the beginning!

Character Hotel old stone building and outbuildings,able to walk around and admire. Outdoor pool, vines and fruit trees add to attractions on a big plot. Ample free parking on site. Dinner must be booked in advance and was very good. Buffet breakfast all you could want continental style.

Room low head room on one side of bed, shower / sink area rather small . But clean and well decorated. Outside light shone in room all night, no blackout blind.

Very quiet and peaceful situation, comfortable bed, attractive dining room. Would have liked to try the inviting pool but it closed on 30th September

Poor cuisine with strange food combinations eg potato in a quiche, moroccan spiced vegetables in broth with all main courses including salmon in a creamy leek sauce and guinea fowl in forestiere sauce. Sad commercial style pastry tart base with spray cream and blueberries. Perhaps the normal chef was on leave after the summer season?

Whilst travelling south, the location was close to a10 motorway, but absolutely quiet and peaceful.

At night the lights to the rooms outside were left on all night and made keeping the room dark somewhat difficult.

Friendly and very helpful staff

The hotel is a former old Pigeonnier and on its own surrounded by fields and great views from the warm outdoor pool. The food, pool and grounds were lovely.

Since our last visit, 2 years ago, the service offered had changed. Staff very polite, but less attentive at meal times. Breakfast was self service but it was hard to find staff if coffee etc had run out. Evening meals ended about 9 pm. If you had not ordered your coffee or beer before then, there was no chance as staff were in a back room eating before they went home. Felt like the senior member of staff was trying to rush you out of the restaurant after meals which was awkward if you had struck up a good conversation with other guests as there are no guest lounge area. Often no one near reception. Hotel offers discount for local tourist attractions, but the member of staff available after breakfast didnt have access to the computer to give us the discounted tickets. Bedroom lovely, but not sure about wooden louvered doors in the bathroom, not much privacy... No top sheet on the bed, just the quilt.

A peaceful location and charming renovated farmhouse. Room for disabled was good, especially the automatic rising mattress ... very much appreciated. Very pleasant breakfast in a charming room.

Was not encouraged to use the available disabled parking slot next to room (maybe because we had a van)... that would have been helpful. The hotel was difficult to find off the motorway without a sat nav. Got lost in some charming countryside!

Beautiful country location among the maize fields. Interesting old limestone buidings with the chalets sympathetically constructed. Parking easy. Choice of 2 simple starters and mains for evening meal, but nicely cooked and not expensive. Good terrace outside the lounge for eating al-fresco.

The bedroom let in too much light from the sodium lights that illuminated the walkways outside the room. The interior curtain was just too thin. Would have liked a kettle / coffee in the room

A very friendly place, we had an outside table, ideal for sipping wine and watching a beautiful sunset. Good reataurant serving local produce.

Lovely location off the beaten track - Historic buildings with modern comforts and good food.

We are a family who stayed at Le Pigeonnier Du Perron - husband, wife, daughter and mum. We were attending a family party in Naintre and we certainly passed around the hotel's contact details and recommended it. We loved our stay - great rooms, swimming pool, friendly staff and would highly recommend the place to any one fancies a quiet, relaxing trip in the country side, a little off the beaten track. However shops are not far away but a car would be needed.

Only regret not booking for dinner

When I arrived, it was 32C and the hotel had turned on the air conditioning in the room. I thought this was very thoughtful. Dinner was excellent.

WiFi didn't work. Breakfast wasn't up to much.

Very good location to relax. Nice rooms, friendly staff, very calm and fair prices. Good breakfast and acceptable dinner quality.

The peaceful location. Easy, secure parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent room shower. Pleasant grounds with a nice swimming pool. Comprehensive, continental breakfast. Everywhere looked neat and tidy. We regretted not taking the evening meal option; the local town was not particularly appealing.

We never got wifi working in room 1 in the three days we stayed.

Setting was fabulous. Dinner and wine very good. Rooms nicely decorated. Would I recommend it - difficult - I personally would not stay again, but the setting was lovely and attention to a few small details and some tlc would make a big difference.

We stayed as an overnight to break our journey from Languadoc to England. We arrived an hour later than expected, although still within the check in time. We felt rushed through our dinner, as we finished one course, the next was brought out, therefhore it was impossible to eat it all that quickly. There was no written menu or choice at dinner. In our room we had a kitchenette - one of the 2 gas rings was not complete so was un-useable. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, meaning we had to unpack all of ours were buried in car. Shower not hot and just a 'little trickle'. The light in toilet was broken. The bed felt damp and the bottom sheet was bubbly and not comfortable. The general impression was one of 'seen better days' and a little neglected. Small pool. Had to be out by 11 - usually 12. We were allowed to sit in the sun and read books after we had vacated our rooms, but were locked out of the main building, so did not feel very welcome and had to knock to use the toilet before leaving for our 8 hour drive home.

The buildings, the views, and the gardens are lovely with a real sense of history. The rooms and beds are comfortable, with everything a traveller needs: TV, Wifi, plenty of hooks and shelves. Staff are very friendly. The evening meal for 19 Euros is well cooked and good value. The organic breakfast is excellent for 7 Euros - with mueslis, fruits, croissants, yogurts, homemade jams and juices, all served in the stone walled dining room with its heavy oak beams.

I am a seasoned traveler in France and found the Le Pigeonnier Du Perron to be the most enjoyable, friendly and pleasant place to stay and will certainly go back there when I am in the area
