Gardens. Past it's prime. Worn down. Over priced. Carpets old, ugly and soiled. Hallway walls chipped. Poor fit and finish. Restaurant prices through the roof.

excellent restaurant unfortunately the hotel was in the middle of renovations and the accommodation was therefore not up to scratch. But the staff were very apologetic and did not charge us for the room, e will be going back to see the finished article!

The best part of the hotel were the gardens. It was so nice to return to the hotel after a long day and sit in one of the gardens little nooks and have a glass of wine. The pool was relaxing and the spa was very good. The room was nice and roomy. Not as small as I thought it would be. We had dinner at the restaurant which was excellent but expensive. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. We were on the 2nd stop of our honeymoon so we did not care how much everything cost. But for those travelers that are conscious of their budget and don't want to pay $9us for a can of Coke you might want to look elsewhere.

Nice location about 1 kilometer from Aix en Provence central. Quieter than more centrall hotels.. Beautiful peaceful garden. Attractive old manor house. Not a 5 star hotel, more a 4 star boutique hotel. Few facilities on offer. Food is ok, but not as one would expect in a 5 star French hotel. The set menu was the same for 2 nights running. Staff were not particularly welcoming. Our de luxe room was ok, but not great value for money.

Good location, with easy walk or drive into the center of Aix-en- Provence. Lovely gardens behind hotel and attractive dining room. Service in dining room was nice. Painting in the dining room and carpet replacement on the stairs was underway during our stay; we thought such repairs should have been made during the winter off-season. A deck was under construction in the gardens, and the pool-side toilette was being re-tiled as well. Rooms have been updated in recent years, but carpet in hallways is in need of replacement. Facility does not smell fresh. Air conditioning is minimally effective. Housekeeping was excellent, and maid service was very customer-friendly. In our opinion, this hotel would be fine if you expected a 3-star or maybe even a 4-star experience, but definitely not a 5-star experience. We spent 3 weeks in France, and Le Pigonnet was a bit of a disappointment overall.

The hotel is set in a large park and gives the feeling of been in the countryside, despite the proximity with city center ( 10 min walk ) The restaurant terrace is fantastic and is a must even for those not staying ! There is a nice swimming pool and a private parking ( free and secured within the gate of the property )

The grounds and gardens were fantastic The hotel rooms are very faded. They need some new carpet and a spruce up. They had a bit of a feeling of a business hotel.

The property and rooms are first class. The gardens and general ambience is absolutely delightful. The staff are professional and mannerly. It is a haven, and a very memorable experience. Being a 5 star resort, the food and service is superb, but at a high price. Breakfast and dinner or lunch out on the patio area, is perfect. Swimming pool also wonderful. Viva La Pigonnet..

The location and gardens are attractive, and a calm refuge away from the bustle of the city. The individual courses for dinner were particularly good. This is supposed to have 5 Michelin stars. The coffee at breakfast was instant and almost undrinkable.

De tudo. Serviço atencioso, lugar agradável e muito bonito. Cozinha muito boa e muita tranquilidade. Adoramos. Apenas a bancada do banheiro era pequena, sem que pudessemos acomodar os pertences. No mais tudo estava de acordo.
