The staff were lovely on arrival, although nowhere to be seen on leaving. Grounds were beautiful even though quiet and cold as it was a Winter visit.
The room looked nothing like what I had booked, more like a budget version. I was unaware that staff for the spa were not on duty for normal working hours, as I was not informed about this on arrival, so when I tried to book an appointment I was told it was too late to organise. So a spa weekend away for my Mum's birthday was ruined. They did allow my Mum to use the Hamam and Sauna, but the available staff were useless as to how it worked for my Mums assistance. Also being Winter I would expect a complimentary tea station in the room for guests to have a warm drink, but everything was 'charge or room service'.
The place is beautiful, the staff are fantastic and the food is superb. What's not to like.
Location was convenient Surroundings lovely Great place
The hotel was very nice, clean and relatively close to the city centre.
Breakfast too expensive so chose to walk a couple of hundred mtrs to a small cafe.
The location of hotel was perfect. A short walking distance to the center of town and very private spot.
We had booked a deluxe room but were upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. Although the weather was too cool to enjoy them, the gardens are spectacular and beautifully maintained
There was nothing negative about the hotel .It would be nice if the breakfast was offered a la carte
The grounds were beautiful as was the swimming pool. Breakfast was very good. The staff was helpful answering many of our questions. The didning area was very lovely.
There was no dresser in the room and the closet was poorly designed, especially the doors and the clothing rack. The room was quite small and the shower was actually a little dangerous as it was extremely slippery. Continental Breakfast was over priced. Each time I went on wifi the passcode info had to be entered and it changed at certain times.
The relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail in service
Suggest a complemtary service to the town as location is a little far from the centre
We stayed in Le Pigonnet for one night for a relaxing Provençal experience. The hotel was really pretty with beautiful grounds, about 15 mins walk from town. The room was ok in size. The only frustrating thing was that there was a wedding on so we couldn't make use of the restaurant or bar in the evening... Which defeated our purpose of a relaxing night in in a 5*, so check that before booking! They let us stay by the pool after checkout the next day (after making a fuss) and use the bar.
Restaurant was excellent. Food was delicious and good price for food quality. Beautiful garden, exceptional
Front desk did report "no show" for our reservation even we checked in 3 pm sharp. They have to check up reservation number and name carefully
Charming, quiet and all within an easy 8 minute walk into the city. The gardens are spectacular.
The Location, the wonderful gardens, the pool
A bill for Euro 66 for 4 cups of coffee, 2 children's juices and some melon.
Beautiful grounds and pool area. Quality of food and choices has improved from four years ago- but be sure to book for dinner. Our room was lovely.
The drinks and food are expensive. It is a bit of walk to the city centre but the no. 4 bus passes the property.
Gardens and location, restaurant
Room very small, terrible Wi-Fi
Grounds, restaurant, pool, wifi
rooms, quality of bed, value for money.. we were paying for the grounds but got little room space Customer service: Never downgrade someone's room. Better to upgrade when you run out of specific room type.
Beautiful grounds, good food and great service, nice pool
Without doubt one of the most civilised, elegant and lovely spots in the South of France.
Very relaxing stay in great location close to centre of Aix but far enough away. Excellent food and restaurant staff.
Not a dislike really but a bar lunch menu with lunchie things would have been good instead of evening menu at lunch !
The Gardens, the general ambience are superb. The lunch was absolutely superb, so we rate the restaurant highly. Generally the staff were good especially the porters at the entrance.
The view from our room - we understood and paid for a courtyard view, but we received a car park view. The attitude of one of the restaurant managers - female who was quite rude and off hand. A male superior then spoke with us and was excellent. The breakfast is vastly overpriced and is not a buffet as we experience in other hotels, where a buffet includes a chef making omelettes, a large selection of cheeses, and salads, many different types of breads and yoghourts, many different types of juices and much much more, and the price is less than 28 euros. We only ate a couple of slices of bread and jam, but were still charged the full buffet price. We only fell for this once, after that we went into town and enjoyed a good breakfast at a sensible price.
Gardens, restaurant, pool. Staff very pleasant. Walking distance to town. Easy bus access also.
Gave our room to someone else. Fixed the situation as best they could.
Lovely entrance/driveway to hotel. Very nice gardens. Terrific bellhop (I don't remember his name)
Our room was old, stained, in disrepair in a couple of places. I understand that there are a newer, nice rooms (that they show on their website) - we did not get one of these and yet we paid the same price. They should not charge the same price for these older rooms. If I had known, I would not have stayed here. Very disappointed.
Garden and restaurant
Initial room offered was dirty and had no air conditioning. They upgraded us after we complained to an acceptable room.
Experienced restraurant staff are excerent different from hotel staff. Garden also be nice.
I regret that the lot of the things getting worse compared with the last time I stayed. I also regret that I invite my frend to stay. Seems management system is not functioned or not established, so many things going wrong side ; - When arriving and entering room, room still not cleand. - After clean up, still not cleaned yet(I gave up to ask). - Birth room shower do not work well. - Water from birth room flooding very much. - Seems no expert staff in front desk while I'm staying. - Service level already lower than the no. of stars of this hotel.
