Score from 245 reviews Very good
Surrounded by a beautiful garden, Aquabella features Provencal-style rooms and guests have free access to the spa. It is in central Aix-en-Provence, a short walk from the historic quarter.

Score from 177 reviews Wonderful
Charming, quiet and all within an easy 8 minute walk into the city. The gardens are spectacular.
The Location, the wonderful gardens, the pool
A bill for Euro 66 for 4 cups of coffee, 2 children's juices and some melon.
Beautiful grounds and pool area. Quality of food and choices has improved from four years ago- but be sure to book for dinner. Our room was lovely.
The drinks and food are expensive. It is a bit of walk to the city centre but the no. 4 bus passes the property.
Gardens and location, restaurant
Room very small, terrible Wi-Fi
Grounds, restaurant, pool, wifi
rooms, quality of bed, value for money.. we were paying for the grounds but got little room space Customer service: Never downgrade someone's room. Better to upgrade when you run out of specific room type.
Beautiful grounds, good food and great service, nice pool
Without doubt one of the most civilised, elegant and lovely spots in the South of France.
Very relaxing stay in great location close to centre of Aix but far enough away. Excellent food and restaurant staff.
Not a dislike really but a bar lunch menu with lunchie things would have been good instead of evening menu at lunch !
The Gardens, the general ambience are superb. The lunch was absolutely superb, so we rate the restaurant highly. Generally the staff were good especially the porters at the entrance.
The view from our room - we understood and paid for a courtyard view, but we received a car park view. The attitude of one of the restaurant managers - female who was quite rude and off hand. A male superior then spoke with us and was excellent. The breakfast is vastly overpriced and is not a buffet as we experience in other hotels, where a buffet includes a chef making omelettes, a large selection of cheeses, and salads, many different types of breads and yoghourts, many different types of juices and much much more, and the price is less than 28 euros. We only ate a couple of slices of bread and jam, but were still charged the full buffet price. We only fell for this once, after that we went into town and enjoyed a good breakfast at a sensible price.
Gardens, restaurant, pool. Staff very pleasant. Walking distance to town. Easy bus access also.
Gave our room to someone else. Fixed the situation as best they could.
Lovely entrance/driveway to hotel. Very nice gardens. Terrific bellhop (I don't remember his name)
Our room was old, stained, in disrepair in a couple of places. I understand that there are a newer, nice rooms (that they show on their website) - we did not get one of these and yet we paid the same price. They should not charge the same price for these older rooms. If I had known, I would not have stayed here. Very disappointed.
Garden and restaurant
Initial room offered was dirty and had no air conditioning. They upgraded us after we complained to an acceptable room.
Experienced restraurant staff are excerent different from hotel staff. Garden also be nice.
I regret that the lot of the things getting worse compared with the last time I stayed. I also regret that I invite my frend to stay. Seems management system is not functioned or not established, so many things going wrong side ; - When arriving and entering room, room still not cleand. - After clean up, still not cleaned yet(I gave up to ask). - Birth room shower do not work well. - Water from birth room flooding very much. - Seems no expert staff in front desk while I'm staying. - Service level already lower than the no. of stars of this hotel.
An excellent and beautiful property. Staff was always most helpful. Quiet location with about 10-15 minute walk to town.
Unfortunately, air conditioning in room was not working during a heat wave. WiFi speed is slow.
Was a little disappointed as I expected a bit more comfort but overall we enjoyed our stay here, nice staff and beautiful garden
Internet, small room
Absolutely loved our stay at Le Pigonnet! The grounds were amazing and the room appeared newly remodeled and perfect for our needs!! Would highly recommend this lovely, intimate hotel!
The gardens are gorgeous. They have outside terrace dining for breakfast and lunch. The dining room is very nice also. My husband is allergic to onions and they were very accommodating. Good location off of A8.
Our room overlooked the garden which was very nice but the room was very ordinary. There was no turndown service. Unusual for a 5 star hotel. The breakfast staff were not attentive at all. The breakfast buffet was extremely ordinary and overpriced. The dinner was fair.
This is not a 5 stars. Towels with holes? Bathroom door crackling? Bathroom shelf crackling? Super expensive breakfast is not worthwhile. I won't return
Nice building with a lovely garden. Bedroom had a nice balcony which opened onto a gorgeous view of the garden. Room comfortable if somewhat functional
The room wasn't ready when I arrived at 4pm. I was taken 'personally' to the room but when we got there, it was being cleaned...! I was then shuffled off to the restaurant where I had to buy my own drink while they made up the room. No apology and no free drink! Wifi is terrible. It drops every 10 minutes which means you have to log in constantly. Very irritating. Staff were quite aloof and not particularly helpful. Location is poor. It's a 1 mile walk along a series of scruffy streets to the centre of town. In summary, I'm sure you can get more for less
Nicely revamped little hotel. The gardens are lovely, if you have a chance to stroll around. The staff is friendly and helpful. The little bar is cozy and serves nice drinks and snacks.
It is about a 15-20 minute walk into town.. not bad in the day, but you may want to cab it back at night when it is dark. We thought the restaurant would be more casual, but it is pretty formal, especially at dinner..
Helpful staff, pleasant ambience, beautiful garden, good food and atmosphere
Classic double room quite small and looks out on parking area. Better rooms are too expensive. Breakfast too expensive (28 euros per person)
Good location, close to the motorway as well as to Downtown. Cosy, scilent.
The garden .
You cannot have a 5 star Hotel with a bathroom tub that has old caulking and scratches all over the hallways, the air conditionner did not work and room smelled very closed in
The grounds beautiful gardens The size- small number of rooms Window in the room Free and abundant parking Location - walk to Centre Ville
The cost of a very average breakfast Not being able to relax with a drink in the nice garden at the lunch hour
Lovely facilities - a solid, traditional hotel with beautiful gardens. The outdoor pool was lovely to swim in. Clean and comfortable facilities. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant - but pricey!
Gave the impression of being a little over-priced. Possibly this is driven by the significant proportion of US/Business guests, so that the hotel's offering was not sensitively priced. No tea or coffee facilities were provided in the room. Tea for two could be provided for 12 euros. Breakfast was not included in the price. The basic Buffet breakfast cost 25-28 euro per person per day. A basic Continental breakfast cost 15 euro per person per day. To contain costs, after day 1 we breakfasted off the premises. Excellent food in the restaurant, although pricey and rather restrained, formal atmosphere.
