Staff very helpful
The willingness to help and the feeling that the staff was happy to do so.
please to complain about feeling at ease would be foolish
Stylish. Rooms spacious and well designed. Wall and door between bedroom and ensuite made of glass so making room light (curtain for privacy). Decent wardrobe and drawer space and small seating area.Guys on reception friendly, helpful and spoke good English.
Hot tap for bath v slow so filling bath took some time.
Small room. not clean (we stayed two nights and when the staff cleaned the room in the morning they only made the bed and emptied the rubbish basket: pyjamas, clothes, shoes ecc stayed as we left them), little space in the closet, scraped wall, messy reception.. overall it looks more like a 3* or a B&B, so not worth at all the price we paid for the weekend.
Small place with a unique staff attention
the proximity to stores, the decor, the bathroom
problems accepting my american express for payment.
Great customer service
Staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.
The size of the room was smaller than I expected but the bathroom was bigger.
Rooms were recently renovated, clean and comfortable with adequate storage space. We were there for 5 nights so that was good. Staff were very good and willing to help in making stay comfortable. Given high rates of most hotels in Paris, I would say this was adequately priced. Metro was close.
Lift and passages were really tiny. But in Europe, one is always thankful there is a lift!
Clean Very convenient location
Elavator was very slow and small
Very clean spacious room for Paris Hotel I stayed twice this Hotel for 1 vacation .I left something not important small stuff but Hotel kept for me when I return .
Elevator was slow
I think everything the hotel use is excellent quality. I really like the good size of the toilet.the hotel design is attentive to details
The breakfast is too expensive at 22 euro per head.the lobby per floor n the lift size is very small
I stayed at the hotel with my 8 year old son we both enjoyed our weekends stay. It was my 4th visit to Paris itself but 2nd stay in St Germain Des Pres. We were pleased with the hotel and facilities. As we had booked the balcony room and it was unavailable we were upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here. Nicholas was very helpful with recommendations and information. It's walking distance to cafés, the metro and across from Bon Marche.
Quaint, small rooms but absolutely adorable. we loved it. takes time to get used to the shower with no door!
wish the breakfast was less expensive but there were cafe's all over to grab a cafe au lait.
loved the location and absolute Parisian feel of this hotel. had breakfast at a boulangerie down the street.
showers are open with no door so be prepared. we managed just fine after some practice.
Everything is wonderful, the room is clean and cozy, mordern, thumb up !!
none that I found
Great hotel with really good sized and modern rooms. Excellent staff who helped us find and booked a couple of great restaurants. Fantastic area with good transport links. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will return without a doubt.
Could have had a larger range of drinks in the 'bar'.
great location, one block to le bon marche, staff was helping.
Location, staff and very comfortable rooms. Details were a must...soft sheet, excellent mattress thick soft towels. Close to bon marche and near Luxemburg gardens...walking distance from Louvre and with some disposal walking distance from Quartier Latin. Well served metro lines.
Expensive but no more than the average in Europe. No breakfast included
Location, I always consider this one first! Best place for shopping or pilgrimage!
They want you out precisely ON Time, never mind if the same person is doing three rooms before yours! But they ask you nicely
The staff was always helpful and friendly. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours a day, so we felt safe (not that there was any reason to feel unsafe in the area). The location is suberb: walking distance to Ste Germaine des Pres (and our favorite Cafe des Deux Magots). It is also close to the Metro, with which all of Paris can be reached. (If you are in Paris for a while and plan to use the Metro, which is efficient, consider buying a 7-day Navigo pass; you will require a passport photograph for the card, which can be "loaded" for a second week --Monday to Sunday-- and re-used if you return even after a year.) Like all Paris hotels, the rooms are small compared with North America, but they are comfortable and quiet with relatively large, clean bathrooms. Because we were on vacation and dealing with jet lag (9 time zones), we slept in every morning, but our room was always made up and tidied before our return in the late afternoon or evening. Free, fast wifi connection is available in the room, and daily newspapers available in the lobby.
The only negative comment is the limited closet space for hanging clothes. If you travel light, this might not be a great problem, but my wife takes a daily change of clothes --- it's Paris afterall.
Very friendly people at the reception. Good service. We had the balcony room, which we recommend. Clean and nicely decorated room. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's not a tourist neighbourhood, what we like, and everything is close by at walking distance, shops, restaurants and Metro to Gar du Nord, 5 minutes walk. Bon Marché at the corner! Over the years we stayed at several , also very nice, hotels in Paris but at hotel Le Placide we definitely come back.
The weekend Receptionist/Concierge was an absolute delight, so helpful and kind and generous with his time.
The room was a bit cramped and had really odd furniture.
Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable.
Situation is brilliant - personable staff & service - good value & spacious room - comfortable & everything one needs.
No complaint on any account - possibly the only improvement would be to provide more up to date reading matter in rooms.
