The location is really good, inside the walls of Sain Malo. Many bars and restaurants around and a big parking nearby. The room was really cute with personality, i really had a nice stay.
location, location, location
hauling heavy cases up the staircase at 180cm high the ceiling in room 9 was too low.
She showed her age, but she was full of character
Could be noisy, with the pub across the road
helpfull easy going staff
steep narrow stairs
Staff very helpful and friendly, location perfect, everything nearby , beach 3 minutes walk, beautiful buildings around hotel.Yery old hotel loved it.in the old part of Malo in the walls it beautiful place would recommend it.
Beam at side of bed, hit my head a few times,
The location was very good and quaint, and English was spoken.
It was small, but above a pub so the noise from customers was a problem until fairly late into the night. We had to have the window open as there was no air conditioning.
Hotel was very old but lovely. Was in an ideal place within the walls. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again.
Spacious room, centre of the town
Room reeked of cigarette smoke
Great location, good value
Location! Location! Location!
The location was inside the walls. The hotel was close to the underground parking garage outside the walls. The rooms were clean. The hotel was on a busy street, but when the window was closed it was quiet. The staff was very helpful.
To park inside the walls is arcane. Adding the additional expense of 34 euros for parking we could have easily upgraded to a more expensive hotel.
Well the stairs are a bit of a drag but we stayed for 6 nights so cases up once then down at the end and we think despite that its worth staying there
Ideal location for exploring St Malo inside the walls and plenty of eating places.
Lack of parking near the Hotel. Warning signs everywhere about being towed away but none actually telling one where to park overnight.
Old city, close to the beach, bars etc.
Inside the old walled city. Close to all the sights. Good price.
Paid wifi. Over 2 bars...VERY loud at night (not for light sleepers). Room smelled a bit stale.
The room was in the attic with one window in the roof! There was no-where to put clothes (no wardrobe and one shelf). The 56 spiral steps were daunting. Could just about fit into shower. The night time noise from the bar next to the hotel was very, very noisy.
Location and helpful staff.
Although clean room lacked comfort being too basic and small and in need of redecoration though everything worked. The access was up a narrow spiral staircase which was quite shabby.
The location is perfect, in a heart of the walled city and near parking ( 2 minutes). I love the hotel as it's like a antique inn.
As the house is nearly 300 years old then it's not very comfort: room is quite tiny.
Scruffy, tramps outside, spiral staircase too dangerous as handrail insecure on wall, lights didn't work on stairs at night, door on room insecure as had been forced previously! Grotty hotel! On 4th floor and no lift. No mention on booking that people with mobility problems shouldn't book this hotel!
The micro-brewery at the back of the bar is a unique feature of this quaint hotel. We keep coming back to this hotel because of its charm and the warm welcome we receive.
