Very friendly staff, with an excellent restaurant at reasonable prices. Absolutely better than any of the other local hotels, which are boring "chain" hotels.

Very clean, restaurant good (once we got in-see below). Pleasant quiet setting, car parking safe for our classic cars. Gave us information on local alternatives for eating at weekend The restaurant closing at the weekend (which we knew about) also meant no bar either! Receptionist did master pouring "pressions" very quickly though. Long wait to get into dining room despite a reservation When we wanted to settle up at 0800 in the morning (Sunday), there was no float in the till for a cash settlement and the receptionist didn't want to wake the boss or round the bill down to the nearest 5 euros. Finally sorted with a whip round for change between us. The weekend/out-of-hours arrangements are very odd, but probably the best solution to lack of staff on site

We enjoyed the stay as it was so convenient and the staff were so friendly. The breakfasts were far too expensive. Otheriwse it was expensive, but no more than other French hotels.

The hotel has a great location and is a lovely building. The car park has ample spaces. We had dinner which was fantastic with very cheerful and helpful staff. I would certainly return there and have no problem recommending it to others.

Good clean hotel Ideal for families with older children as rooms have ajoining doors. Restuarant not open on weekends was not a problem as decent options in town centre. Ideal for stop over on the way home.

Really nice room with large double bed. Well appointed bathroom. We used this hotel as a stopover on our way back to Calais and would certainly stay there again. Not easy to find without sat nav.

Although not easy to find, the hotel is an attractive building and the room was comfortable. The shower facilities for my disabled wife were good. The hotel prides itself on its restaurant - until one is informed, after the booking has been made, that the restaurant is closed in August. A list of alternatives is provided in the room but these are mainly low level pizza cafés of a completely different level to the gourmet fare which the hotel restaurant claims to provide - when open. Half of the recommended "restaurants" were, in any case, also closed. A suitable alternative (not listed because it presumably competes with Le Pré St Germain) was eventually located by our party. The solitary member of staff on duty in the hotel (and then only until 18.00 after which no staff were available) was quite helpful but limited without support. The breakfast facilities were very basic.

Nice clean rooms and lovely breakfast. Restaurant closed for August as was the majority of restaurants in the city centre. So very difficult to find a place to eat and no staff to ask.

We chose this hotel as an overnight stay en route to further south in France. It's just over 2 hours from Calais. It was excellent - very clean, very quiet and the reception staff were very friendly. We arrived too late in the evening to sample the restaurant, but the breakfast was good. The room would have been a little small for a longer stay purely because we had an extra bed in it for our son, but for our purposes it was just right.

A Delightful hotel, Very comfortable. Restaurant excellent. Highly recommended. This is not a complaint, Sheer curtains would be a great benifit as we felt the window to our room was very open, and sheers would give a bit more privacy. But this will not stop us staying again.

A quiet location, secure parking, private garden. Comfortable and well-equipped room if not large. The breakfast was overpriced. I noticed many other guests who did not take breakfast.
