Le Rézinet - Chambres d'Hôtes is located about 1 hour from Lyon, halfway between Lyon and Clermont Ferrand.
We stayed for one night, as we crossed France by car. Tired, at arrival it was like getting home… A warm and family-like renovated cottage awaited us.
The owner welcomed us and showed us our room: a suite on the second floor. The room was very spacious, divided in three different areas: the living room, the room and the bathroom. All spaces were beautifully decorated with a mix between antique furniture and contemporary pieces, creating a cosy, warm and familiar feeling.
Since it's an ancient building, it doesn't have an elevator. It was no problem for us but it can be if you have any mobility issue.
The next morning we woke up with the autumn sun light, filtered by the linen curtains. The misty and green landscape that surrounds us, the lake view, the red flowers on the windows, everything around us is beautiful and very, very peaceful. It made you want to stay for a week instead of just one night!
We had breakfast in the dining room, decorated with ancient family portraits and antique chinaware, a beautiful chandelier and a big table with a white linen table cloth. Breakfast was set just for us. And it was delicious: freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, croissants, baguettes, butter, home made jam, fruits, yogurt and, best of all, home made pancakes, still warm!!!... Perfect!
The owners were great hosts, always making sure everything was ok.
Le Rézinet is one of those single and special places that are worth knowing.
