The manager Wil was very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable . He helped with Restaurant advice and bookings and even helped me arrange some flowers to be delivered on my Wife's birthday. Provided a vase and then had them re wrapped for the journey home . He could not have done more to make our mini break enjoyable . I would not hesitate to recommend this guesthouse to anyone . It is 5 star service in a lovely traditionally decorated, 200 year old guesthouse, which is walking distance from the Cathedrral and Tapestry.

The Location is excellent for exploring Bayeux on foot. Most of the major sightseeing is within several blocks and parking is free for those with an automobile. It is also a great point for day tripping to all parts of the Normandy coast and WWII Invasion points of interest. We stayed 3 nights and could have found enough activities for many more nights. Many restaurants nearby. Wil was a wonderful host and had breakfast prepared and ready on our schedule. He speaks great English and was of great help in negotiating the area. We enjoyed his company during our morning chats. The house is a multi generational home and has been updated to modern standards keeping the historical value intact. When our plans call for another visit to Normandy we will return to La Tour Louise Guesthouse.

Wil was extremely nice and very helpful.

Double bed was narrow for a couple accustomed to a queen size bed. Could have used more lighting. Room was right on the street which was okay for this very cold spring but would be a problem if one wanted to open the windows.

Will was an excellent host. Breakfast was good and prompt. This was an excellent location to catch our D-Day tour; to find a restaurant; or, to sight-see in town. We walked to the Tapestry;the Cathedral;and, the museums. Perfect!

We were taken care of by Will who greeted us on arrival, carried our bags, gave advice and provided an excellent breakfast. All of this for less than 100 euros/night. Location is an easy walk to the Bayeux tapestry, cathedral and restaurants. Bathroom was newly redone and ultra modern in a 200 year old house. Merci beaucoup, Will!

The guest house is absolutely charming, clean and beautifully appointed. We were greeted by Wil, whose parents own the staff and he himself added so much enjoyment to our stay. We were sorry that we had not scheduled more time in our travels to stay longer. We hope to return again and we would most definitely rebook at La Tour Louise Guest House.

The owner (Wil) was most accomdating and was a pleasure to deal with. He was very hospitable and has a lovely place. Very warm and comfortable. Bayeux is a cool little town with lots of friendly people and close to the sites we wanted to visit.

Bayeux is a picturesque town in Normandy and I'm so happy we chose La Tour Louise as our base for exploring the region. William, our host, was very hospitable and gave excellent tips on things to see and do. In fact, the places he pointed out to us were probably the highlights of our tour of the D-Day sites. Breakfast was lovely. Pastries that William had purchased fresh from the local bakery each morning as well as bread, cheese, fruit, cereals and scrambled eggs (the latter by request). The room we stayed in was spotless. La Tour Louise is one of the cleanest guesthouses I have ever stayed in. William obviously takes great pride in the appearance of the rooms. The bed in the room was also really comfy. The shower had excellent water pressure. View from the bathroom of the Cathedral was lovely. If we return to Normandy we will definitely stay at La Tour Louise again. Excellent value for money! I wish we could have stayed longer!

we arrived in really bad snow to be welcomed by a very friendly face, and was looked after so well from the time we arrived to the time we left . The guesthouse had so much character and felt so homely ...and breakfast was fresh with great scrambled eggs. Will.. the owner was very helpfull and booked our trip for us and even took us to the train station when we were leaving . We would definatly come again to Bayux an amazing place ....and would only stay at the best place in town." La Tour Lousie"

We loved our 3-night stay at La Tour Louise so much we wished we were able to stay longer! Wil was an exceptional host who was so welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable it was pure luxury! We hope to be able to come back here and stay again. I dont have a bad word to say about this place, it was fabulous. Highly recommended!

Character, cleanliness, location

My husband & I enjoyed a fabulous stay at La Tour Louise. Our host wil was without doubt the most gracious & delightful person. From the moment we walked through the front door we were made to feel most welcome & comfortable. Wil provided a wealth of both local & French knowledge. A pleasure in every respect! Our only regret was that our stay was not longer! The Guesthouse Has been a family home for generations & wil's passion for his home & town is delightful. A must stay for any traveler to add to the list. Our room was just beautiful & spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a treat. Delicious! Views just beautiful & proximity to the town, restaurants & shops perfect. Bayeux Is such a picture perfect town.

Location,close to Cathedral and central Bayeux and next to car park which we could access using Patron's permit. William (the owner) spoke excellent English and was very welcoming and and helpful. We had our own key to come and go without going through the rest of the house so felt like our own residence. Good breakfast and William even cooked us scrambled eggs. Great location for Bayeux and surrounding area and William full of local knowledge. Excellent value. Would definitely return.
