If total relaxation and a peaceful environment is what you need, this has it all. Chateau appeal and good walking distance to everything really makes La Faisanderie such a wonderful and destination. Dominic and Elliot host the property and go above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We will return and stay longer next time

On arrival ant 5pm our apartment was not cleaned from the previous guests. Lady at reception assured us someone Would be along shortly to clean. On our return a few hours later the apartment was still not cleaned. After complaining again we were given a new apartment.

You need to pre book the limited restaurants for an evening meal.We ate one night in a lovely restaurant but only as we managed to book the previous evening. The food was pricey in comparison with neighbouring restaurants.

This was a gorgeous little town to stop in for a few nights...
This was a gorgeous little town to stop in for a few nights on our road trip through France. We loved walking around and taking in the local food and drinks, and everyone we met along the way was very nice. This was also a convenient place to stay for visiting WWII sites. There is a beautiful coastal path that goes from Grandcamp Maisy to Point du Hoc (about 3 miles away) and we ran on this to visit Point du Hoc, but it could also be used for walking or cycling. Grandcamp Maisy was only about a 10-20 minute drive from other WWII sites like Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery. I would love to visit again in the future!

The house is very beautiful, with a lot of detail in its operation and decoration. Walking distance to the beach and wonderful restaurants. Excellent place to know the surroundings. Madam ELvira attended us very quickly and gave us all the necessary information to have a wonderful weekend.

Our room was huge! We had the accessible room. There were a few problems though. The shower was included in the bathroom, so there was no rim to contain the water (I guess this is good if you are in a wheelchair) however, the water from the shower flowed out into the living room. I guess that is why they add a floor squeegee so one can scoop the water back into the shower. What a pain! The double bed was small. (Are there different sizes for a double bed?). And, the bed was really uncomfortable. Then there is the problem with the front desk. I have three charges on my bank statement. One from Booking.com and two from Grandcamp-Maisy, and they refuse to acknowledge these charges so be very careful or you may get ripped off. The town is very sweet. Small, and there is no Uber or bus to get around and it's a mile walk into the town. There is a beach close by that is wonderful.DianneUnited States of America

A very big garden to relax in, and parking in front of your room. Nice bonus were the friendly horses across the entrance of the property. The hostess was very friendly, accomodating and tried her best to speak english to us. The highlight for me was the breakfast! Everything is prepared for you, it was all fresh and i think local produce.

The quiet location with its ocean view is a dream and perfect to unwind. The room was impeccable and the bed as comfortable as home with luxurious sheets. Breakfast in the garden was another highlight. We would have loved to stay longer to read in the wonderful garden or to swim in the ocean right in front of the house. Very convenient location (Utah Beach is about 30 minutes by car, Omaha Beach is 15 minutes). The hotel is very authentic and stylish. Breakfast was just great. The owner of the hotel, Monsieur Dominique, deserves special words of admiration and gratitude. Monsieur, thank you so much for your fantastic hospitality! I hope to see you again one wonderful day.

The old style French farmhouse was an interesting mixture of old and new and set in beautiful surroundings. A comfortable bed, excellent continental breakfast served in our own dining room, great value for money. Couldn't have asked for more. We also really appreciated being able to check in with a reception. They provided us with some information, including gate codes so we could come and go as we pleased. Hotel has a pool and is very close to the ocean.
