Le Relais Du Lac  

sadly the only thing i liked about the hotel was the wonderful position on the lake with its amazing views and the fact it was located in the beautiful town of hossegur.

I paid 120 euros per night which did not include breakfast which was an extra 7 euros and having had it on the first day have to say it was not worth even 3 euros. whilst the staff were charming, there were no facilities - not even a kettle in the room to make an early morning coffee - no fridge either. as for the "ensuite facilities - there was a tiny little dark room with a grotty shower curtain and very basic handheld shower. Had I been paying 55 euros per night it would have been passable. Whilst I appreciate it was haut saison and I had only booked several weeks before, and it is in a very exclusive location, the price was daylight robbery for one very basic double room and not much else. Whilst i can thoroughly recommend the region and location I am not able to recommend staying at the relais unless the price is very much reduced.

Where is located and the view.

When we came back to the hotel from a 2 hour trip and totally exhausted, the lights were gone and didn't come back for two hours. Also, there was no hot water all throughout the weekend. I'd give the place one 5 out of 10

The hotel has a superb location next to the lake

It's pity that this hotel in such a good loaction has been allowed to get shabby and would benefit from some T.L.C.

The lakeside views were fantastic.

No mini bar/fridge in room. No stand up shower. Quite secluded with a lack of taxis to take you anywhere which meant a 20 minute walk into town in the dark. The staff weren't particularly helpful. Expensive breakfast which was very limited.

Location

Excellent location, although we didn't pay extra for a lake view as we were only staying for one night. There's a really good sea food restaurant opposite, 50 metres down the road where we had a lovely dinner.

The breakfast was a bit basic for the price. A cold buffet without ham or cheese.

Hotel tres rustique, vous etes accompagne toute la nuit par le bruit des robinets de tout l hotel de plus cet hotel preleve de suite le montant de votre chambre sur votre carte bleue donc si vous voulez payer en cheques vacances impossible hotel a eviter

Hotel simple mais super emplacement avec le lac d hossegor juste devant ce n est pas le grand luxe mais les chambres sont propres pour un veek end c est suffisant personnel a la reception tres sympa petit dejeuner il ne manque rien pain beurre confiture ect ect ect que demander de plus pour le prix j ai lu des commentaires plus que desagreables sur cet hotel, et je les trouve non fondés! Pour les personnes jamais contentes il existe sur hossegor et la région des 4 etoiles!! Forcement le prix est different .....

L'accueil très familiale et la situation géographique

Les sanitaires n'étaient pas très propre! Le beurre servi au petit-déjeuner était périmé! Nous avons mis cet état sur le fait que nous étions hors saison, car nous n'imaginons pas que cela se produise sur d'autres périodes.

La vue sur le lac est très jolie... éTé comme hiver, c'est un lieu pour une très agréable escapade. Sans luxe ostentatoire, il conserve une réelle authenticité et l'endroit pour un couple en tout cas réellement bien adapté.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la spacieuse chambre familiale pour 4 et la vue sur le lac d'hossegor, quasiment les pieds dans l'eau. De plus, nous avons aimé le calme et l'accueil.
