The impossibility of finding it. If you arrive by car, the entrance to the hotel is through the back, via an underground public car park. The front of the hotel is in a tiny, narrow street closed to traffic. Yet that is the street address of the hotel. You did not point this out to us in your confirmation email; consequently we spent nearly an hour going round and round the one-way system untiI finally I had to make an embarrassed phone call to the hotel for directions. It is imperative that you point this out to anyone who books this hotel in future. This problem nearly spoiled our entire enjoyment of our stay.

The Room overlooked the narrow street below which was cobbled . so we felt truely in a tudor building. the room was large and very well decorated 5 ***

A very good stop en route. A delightful find,very competitive rate for a standard room. Very friendly staff. Recommended to friends immediately who are travelling through this area. An excellent location in the city.

Great service Staff excellent Perfect location

The location of the hotel in the centre of Troyes was a huge bonus, allowing us to leave the car in the hotel's parking bays in safety and walk directly to the city centre. The comfort room was excellent, with an extremely comfortable bed and luxurious fixtures and fittings. We received an extremely friendly reception from the owner who showed us directly to our room and had time for a chat over drinks.The investment in the hotel was apparent as was the pride taken by the owners.

Very little. We had read about the difficulties of finding the underground parking but carefully drove up the Rue Charles de Gaulle from the station end and with the aid of city centre maps printed from the Internet searched for the car park entrance on the right - no problem. It was only when we had parked up and checked in that the owner suggested we move the car to the hotel's bays giving direct access to reception. Yes, the drinks were expensive, particularly the whiskies but the measures in our pastis glasses and the comfort of the bar/lounge soon diminished the issue!!

Staff were helpful, got a room upgrade on Xmas eve.

My friend and I felt properly looked after and nothing was too much trouble for the staff on duty. The location worked well for us as we had no car although there is parking. It was evident that there were returning guests which is a very positive sign. The breakfast was good. We had a free upgrade - well appreciated!

The Hotel staff/owners were very friendly, attentive, helpful and efficient, the Hotel was very clean, the room specious and comfortable and the Hotel Car Park was very secure. The Hotel was a surprisingly nice place to stay and our stay at the end of October occurred due to the satisfaction we experienced with our first stay at the same Hotel, four days earlier. The room (Luxe) on our second visit was even better than the room (Single Room Suite) on our first visit.

Beautifully furnished small hotel with oodles of charm right in the old quarter of Troyes with own underground parking with direct access to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and keen to practise their english.

The cost of breakfast was expensive at 14.50 eu but if you decide to treat it as brunch and skip a midday meal then it's okay. There's plenty of choice.

This is the nicest small hotel we've stayed in for years. Charming staff, well run and good comfort. The standard of care (and investment) shows. Great location, too, though contact the hotel about parking if you're travelling with a car. The system works, but you have to know in advance about it.
