Hotel Gabriel is located 1.6 Km from Mont Saint-Michel. It offers free Wi-Fi access and en suite rooms just a 25-minute walk from the walls of the old city.
Score from 983 reviews Excellent
Housed in a historic building, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel. The classic-style rooms overlook the bay, the abbey or the medieval city.
Score from 384 reviews Good
This 3-star hotel offers a restaurant, a bar and guest rooms with satellite TV. It is next to the River Couesnon, just one mile from the Mont Saint-Michel and 50 yards from the free shuttle bus.
Score from 698 reviews Very good
This Mercure is in parkland, just over 1 mile from the abbey of Mont Saint Michel. It has spacious rooms with private bathrooms, a restaurant and bar and plenty of free on-site parking.
Score from 590 reviews Very good
no wifi during our visit
It was much too expensive for what it was. Even after paying 240€ they wanted us to pay 25€ per person for the breakfast. Then when I paid to leave they charged me another 4€ for the entry code. With the price they charge the least they could have done is to cover that cost. The paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom and the furniture was old and scrubby. It is shocking the way they treat tourists. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.
We can see MSM from my room. Shuttle is just front of the hotel. Nice room and big.
The end room adjacent to the lift is very large with a large picture windows that gives a great landscape view of Saint Michel. To get this room we couldn't ask for more
The room overlooking Mont St Michel had a spectacular view, our difficulty was in finding the property, which is behind a set of boom gates that requires a code that we were unaware of. Details were sent in an email subsequent to the booking.com confirmation that we did not know to look for.
The view was spectacular and the the room was very comfortable.
It's an old 4star hotel. We had the impression that they just keep making profit of having 4 stars but are actually not trying to keep them or to maintain the building. The heating made a lot of noise and when we called for help somebody came and tried to fix it but in the night it started again. He also mentioned that they already had this problem in this room. So why didn't they fixed it properly? The room was not well cleaned. As soon as you looked in some corners there were dead insects.
The place is perfect just in front of the mont st michel.
Rooms are very tired and need a refresh. No information on how to get through the gates, no pin code provided. Needed to call them to get the pin Price is excessive for the quality.
The receptionists, the location and view of the Mont Saint Michel is breathtaking from our room. The bed room is large with a huge wardrobe.
Buffet breakfast is somewhat unsatisfactory.
stunning view from the room
Quite complicated to find the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The negatives: - no shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom. There was a bottle, but it was empty. - furniture needs renovation - wifi rather slow - breakfast served only until 10 am (you would expect to have breakfast at least until 11 am) - breakfast ordered to the room was poor. No cold cuts or cheese - overpriced - dinner in the restaurant was normal. Service was good and friendly - no one helped us with the luggage or showed us to the room
I'll try to keep it short. We chose the hotel, only because it was the only 4 star hotel near to St. Michel. The positives: - the view from the rooms - the receptionists
Too many mosquitos and flies during early October... Everywhere...and the staffs have no ways to prevent. It was really disturbing.
Reception is excellent.
- Location was great - with an amazing view - Big space
Check well in advance the tides schedule to view the Mont Saint Michel surrounded by water! The weather can change very quickly! Be prepared (coat, umbrella...)! Arrive at least one hour before midnight! We arrive at 23:57 and we had to pay 4 EUR for the entrance in the neighbourhood of the hotel. They are supposed to close it at midnight.(before midnight the car park is free!). Plus before midnight the Mont Saint Michel is enlightened! Gorgeous!
The location, the service, the comfort., the view!!! We liked very much the room!!! We were well welcomed even at our late time arrival! Before midnight the Mont Saint Michel is enlightened! Gorgeous!
Patio with lots of bird mess
Hotel in general little bit old. Needs some refurbishment. Breakfast variety short for the price you pay.
Fantastic views of Mont Saint Michel
only the location of the hotel is good. the rooms are very dirty, the bad smell from the bathroom, no AC in the room which is very hot in summer and you cant open the balcony door because of the mosquitos. the breakfast is very expensive and I don't know how they categorise it as a 4 star hotel.
No opening window in our room, just a door to balcony. Noises from machinery all night. Rooms are tired and need a refresh.
Location is the best, uninterrupted views of the Mont. Food was reasonable standard but expensive for what you got.
No staff on duty at night. Hard to drive to mid-day (code for the gate was not provided). Felt a little spooky.
Excellent location. Nice rooms
There is no air conditioning in rooms For two days they had a problem of electricity and no hot water in the hotel Even though they didn't say anything about it while we checked in Terrible bad attitude of staff of trying to find a solution to their problem All they said was Je suis desole.... And that was It No electricity in half of the room and no possibility of a hot shower
excellent front desk staff. Meals were excellent--quality and portion size
everything the best dinner I have ever had in /France
No air conditioning, rooms run down no free drinks
You pay for the view
Price is excessive for the quality. This is at most a 3-star facility charging 4-star prices. You are paying for the proximity to Mont St Michel.
Proximity to Mont St Michel.
Room decoration is a bit outdated. Amenities were nice, but hair dryer was very much outdated, so i would recommend to bring your hair dryer if you are in need of it. Other than that, the view beats the price/old hair dryer.
Location is just breathtaking. Worth the price. Restaurant is also very nice with the view and decent quality of food.
