Le Relais Saint Michel  

The hotel stands in front of Bus Stop to Mont Saint Michel and very easy to access.

We went there by car. There was a car gate to enter the hotel district and we needed a code. If it is informed in advance to our arrival, it would have been perfect.

The hotel was right at the end of the causeway to Mt. St-Michel. There were several other hotels, restaurants, and shops within easy walking distance. The parking area was free. Walking to the Abbey was an enjoyable 15-minutes along the causeway. The view of the Abbey from our room was very nice. The room was very large.

This hotel is in dire need of renovations. The furniture and decor is quite dated. In the morning our shower did not have any hot water. The restaurant was overpriced and breakfast cost was unbelievable. This hotel could be a 4-star but there are many deficiencies preventing that right now. The cost was excessive for the quality at this point.

Location is excellent. This is the best positioned hotel in Mont Sant Michel with stunning views, both day and evening.

The hotel is tired and badly in need of an upgrade. This is the only hotel we've stayed in through Netherlands, Belgium and France that did not offer tea/coffee making facilities. Buffet Breakfast was 23 euros and was very basic. There was an alternative Asian breakfast buffet, but for some reason that was only available to Asian guests. We actually walked out and bought breakfast across the road for 9 euros. After night-fall, Hotel room was very dark. We were unable to read a map anywhere but in the bathroom. Hotel lacks genuine hospitality.

Hotel was worth it, just for the fabulous view of the Mont. Large, comfy room with verandah. Bathroom was also largish and modern. Earlier difficulties getting into the room disappeared as soon as we saw the view. Watching it at night with lights out was unforgettable. Having extra pillows was good.

Had great difficulty finding the entrance to the hotel and parking due to all the roadworks and external hotel upgrading, but sure that this will improve once finished. Summer will find the area hot, with all that unrelieved concrete.

The staff was very friendly. The room are large with windows from floor to ceiling to afford a great view over mt st michel. All the rooms have a view. They are protected from the noise of the main highway by the restaurant and are quiet. The dining room has a great view on the bay st michel. One cannot dream any better. Is a they are well appointed. It is not "charming" in the french provincial way but it is very comfortable. We felt it was great considering the extremely "touristy" location. It is by far the best of the lot. PS be aware that a bridge to the mt st michel is starting to be under construction and should be finished in 2014 or 2015 . so it is going to be a bit of a mess. there will be a shuttle going across the bridge to avoid this mass of cars and busses at the foot of the mt st michel. and this is a good thing. the bridge is because they want to let the Mt st Michel revert to be surrounded by water which is not the case right now.

Even though the menu was appetizing, it seems that the food was mostly reheated. They accept tours and this may be a side effect of having to serve so many people at the same time. But the staff again is very friendly. The fish soup was good.

Excellent view, the best hotel in this area

The hotel's location is the best of its kind. The view of the Mont Saint Michel is spectacular.

The hotel is shabby and neglected. It shows its age. It is very expensive and does not justify its price.

Location was exactly what we were looking for. The view from our room and balcony was breathtaking and met out expectations perfectly.

No laundry but this was minor compared to the benefits

Spacy room. View of Mont St Michel. Parking on site with easy access. Sheep behind the balcony was very nice.

Lack of washbowl in wc. Breakfast was overpriced.

The sea views across to the island was stunning.

Booked dinner for 7pm. Staff were having their meal. Returned had gin and tonics with menus - waited to order - eventually went in to nearly full restaurant - started meal 9-15.

The location is the best only.

The value of this Hotel is extremely not worthwhile. Even I paid 190 Euro, I still need to live in a room which is in Ground floor and you cannot see the St Mont Micheal because it is covered by a big tree. Also, the toilet in the room smelt so bad.
