Nice big rooms, clean and lovely decor. Staff were excellent, helpful, spoke English and helped with our bags up the 3 flights of stairs. Dinner in the restaurant was also a really good meal.

There is no elevator - while staff carried our bags up 3 flights of stairs, perhaps this is not suitable for many older/disabled travelers.

    Helpfulness of staff on arrival

So many things. Our room got water damage, 4 of us moved into a single room, then transferred to the holiday inn but encouraged to come back for breakfast every day. We had pre paid and told all would be covered, though even though the holiday inn was €53 cheaper per night, were still charged €59 for our meals.

What a great little hotel. Just off the canal St Martin, and no more than a ten minute taxi from anywhere you would want to go in this fabulous city. Staff were super friendly without being fussy, the room nicely decorated and very clean and the food down stairs in the bistro was great, generously portioned and reasonably priced. I can think of many 'Grand' hotels that should maybe spend a weekend at Le Robinet D'or and see how it's really done! Looking forward to our next trip to Paris and another stay.

    Leaving.

We enjoyed the proximity to the canal - wonderful to see people enjoying a summer night with a picnic there; also, the comfortable room and the delicious food in the restaurant.

The room I had was large by French standards and really comfortable. It had an extra large bathing area. The breakfast had a varied buffet and good coffee again often rare in a Paris hotel. The bistro is excellent and good value.

The area is a bit dingy and could be off putting on the first visit. Very close by is the canal area which is lovely but the approach if you are coming from Gare du Nord or Gare de L'Est is lacking in character

The friendliness of the reception and restaurant/bar staff. Very eager to help and made us very welcome. Reminded me of a small family run hotel.

the lack of lift on my side of the hotel: rooms 103 & 202.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They just didn't stop trying to help and make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant is also very nice. The hotel is very close to Gare du Nord and the local metro.

Really only that the hotel is a bit away from the main Paris attractions, more an issue for us as it was such a short stay (one and a half days only) For a longer stay, fine, metro to where you want to be.

Superb service, staff very well informed and dedicated to their hotel experience. Really great sense of pride in their local neighbourhood and a fantastic sense of humour evident all around.

We loved the contemporary style and quirkiness of the hotel. The food was superb.

The classic double room was a little bit cramped. I banged my face on the bedside cabinet on the first morning as it was right up to the bed and at head height and sharp cornered. I ended up with a black eye and small laceration for the holiday.

The friendliness of the staff cannot be overstated. Everyone we met with was helpful and courteous. The location was convenient to Gare de l'Est, several Metro stations, and near to the Canal St. Martin, which has a lovely neighborhood vibe and plenty of good dining nearby. The bed was comfortable and the high ceilings made it feel like an enormous room for Paris.

Only 1 device at a time can use the WiFi, but it was reliable.
