Le Rodin  

Very friendly staff, free secure parking, cosy and nice.

The only problem can be that the hotel is 10-15 minutes drive from the center, so if you are traveling without a car, you will need a taxi to go there an back.

I stayed at ten 4 star hotels in the last month and this one did not measure up. Infact direction signs to the Hotel and on sight say it is a 3 star Hotel. I think it's a 3 star accomodation. My rating is based on a 4 star standard.

The staff were friendly and helpful

The airconditioning did not work and it was impossible to leave the door to the courtyard open because of the mosquitos. The internet connection was extremely slow when it worked at all and we were diconected from the network every two or three minutes. The location was not good it was a long way from town through a seedy neighbourhood, did not feel particularly safe. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. It was overpriced for what was offered there are better options closer to town.

This is not an hotel it is a motel. The location is accurately stated in terms of the time it takes to walk to the outskirt of the centre but the walk is not particularly pleasant. It is generally littered and unkemt. We stayed 4 nights but wanted to reduce the stay by one night the manager stated that the contract was for 4 nights and that he could not be flexible. Overall not a place I would return to.

Professional/courteous proprietor to customer communication skills. Clean and comfortable accomodations with petite yet varied and well stocked breakfast.

About a 15 walk to the centre. Car Parking can be difficult in Arles center.

We found no faults

We stayed at the Rodin for 8 days with our grown up daughter. It is located in the pleasant bourgeois suburb of Mon Plaisir, about 5 minutes drive from Arles. Our rooms were spacious and well equipped with direct entrance to the garden and pool. The standard of cleaning was impeccable.The owner and his team were invariably friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed with an absence of prohibitory notices and an excellent breakfast was served until 11.00 - we considered the extra charge good value.for money. The secure parking was also a bonus. We found the absence of dining facilities no problem. However, we were not impressed by our dining experiences in Arles and found parking difficult. Instead, we found it much easier to drive about 12 minutes to the charming village of Fontvielle where there are excellent restaurants such as La Table du Meunier and Lou Claveu and easy parking. Beaucaire is a little further afield but also has excellent restaurants on the Quai du General de Gaulle (Le Soleil esp). All in all Le Rodin was a happy find and we left feeling relaxed and content..

Very good staff. The room was spotless. Nice pool.

The downside is that there is no restaurant and the nearest is in Arles town centre which is a 10-15 min walk.

We have stayed at this hotel before and it is ideal if you wish to exploire Arles over a few days.

Excellent location for access to Arles (15min walk) or travelling to other site-seeing venues, eg Nimes, Aix-en-Procence, etc

Too many mosquitos

Very effective air conditioning in the room. Comfortable room with balcony. Swimming pool (although we did not use it). Effective security gate closed at night with keypad entry.

The bathroom was modern and well decorated but lacked some simple features such as rails for the hand towels, a high level hook for the shower head. The hotel was basically a motel with each room accessed externally and the reception area only open during the day. There was no restaurant. Buffet breakfast was OK but expensive.

Very friendly staff. Clean room with comfortable bed. Secure parking area.

Shower stall only had a hand held shower wand which was difficult to use when washing one's hair.

The pool and the access to the pool from room is excellent. The reason we stayed there.

It's pretty expensive.

Just outside the city of Arles yet only 15 minute walk to the centre. Good hotel, secure parking which is difficult in Arles. Very clean room overlooking garden and swimming pool. Helpful staff. A very pleasant self service breakfast. We were only there one night so did not sample the pool but it all looked very nice.
