Although the restaurant was closed the lad on duty went out of his way to get me some bread to eat with my own salad i had brought.
Parking space. Quiet room.
Restaurant was closed.
The location is ideal for visiting the WW2 landing beaches. There is a good walk along the canal to Pegasus bridge, and a little bit further to Caen. Hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Good buffet selection for breakfast.
Limited facilities in Ouistreham during December.
excellent position very smart, comfortable room all the facilities you need.
We were to catch the early am ferry from Ouistreham. Secure car park good. Good location 5 mins from ferry. Comfortable room with view over beach. Would recommend and will stay again. Previously visited.
The shower was very stiff to change from bath mode. The basin was very slow to empty - drain needs unblocking!
The room was reasonably well equipped. The heating worked and there was hot water. Secure parking was included. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The room was ready for updating and the bathroom was awkward to use. There was a shower attachment over the bath but no shower curtain. This could easily be improved.
Easy access from port. Good buffet breakfast
Nothing in particular.
Position, secure parking.
Looked a bit run down.Failed in providing my 1st 2 selections of wine,, got to No. 3
Warm atmosphere in dining room and decor . Excellent dinner Safe car Parking before ferry crossing. Perfect location for last night of holiday
Excellent restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location with good private parking. Very convenient for the ferry port, local shops and museums.
Hotel a little tired - needs some updating and maintenance.
The sea views and general vista were excellent. The staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and setting very nice.
The mattress and pillow were most uncomfortable because they were so firm but understand that this was some sort of promotion for Tempura. My old bones would have appreciated a lift to our floor!
Liked that there was a car park.
The room smelt damp and foisty even though it looked clean. Carpets and décor tired and worn.
Very noisy no sound proofing every time a door opened in the hotel our door banged & rattled had to pack it with toilet paper at the lock to stop it, could hear people next door using bathroom (not nice) Bathroom had got a smell to it
Very friendly staff Secure parking Seafront location Excellent restaurant Good rates
Arrived no welcome and the room was not good dame on walls and smelly!!!!
What amazing staff - so friendly, helpful, accommodating etc... Got off the boat silly early and they let us check in at 7am as the room was not busy. Slept for a few hours before exploring. Perfect. Sadly we did not book the restaurant and it was full but we found another round the corner. Evening drinks were fun and a great atmosphere.. Very quaint traditional french hotel -with the Gothic atmosphere of the Lemony Snicket novels! Would definitely stay again! :-)
Room was a bit snug and not overhead shower. Hall ways tired and in need of a revamp. But hey every thing else was great.
Loved the garden & the Dinner we had was superb! This must be the 5th time we have returned for the food & location. Many thanks to the excellent staff who looked after us so wonderfully
Fabulous food and service in restaurant. Characterful old building. Pretty garden. Proximity to ferry.
All of the staff were so helpfull & informative & although we speak some French, there command of English was excellent. The in-house restaurant, was first class & the price of a 4 course meal was very reasonable. The WiFi was a plus & worked very well in our bedroom, without a hitch. The bedroom itself had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed. The walled, secure parking area was also very handy, especially as the car was full of expensive items. We will use this hotel, anytime that we are going back to London via Caen.
Everything was fine
The food is excellent especially starters and desserts. We go there for the food and walks along the beach
Welcome by reception and explanation of facilities.Modern/smart decoration. Restaurant atmosphere, plus the choice and quality of dishes on the menu. Of course the location, opposite the beach which was only a 2 minute stroll away
No complaints what so ever.
We had a short stay, staff were friendly, food excellent. Good location for beach.
