La Buzardiere, Chambres d'hôtes is surrounded by an 8-hectare park with horses and dogs. Shops and restaurants can be found within a 10-minute walk and free private parking is possible on site.
Score from 30 reviews Very good
Small hotel near Sablé sur Sarthe, on a street of the center town, much of rooms have a view in the court of the hotel, where there is a large parking lot. The rooms are simple.
Score from 67 reviews Very good
A very pleasant welcome, very helpful about the area. The room was spacious & clean. The breakfast was good value with superb croissants & plenty of choice. Will stay again on our next trip from England to France.
Everything. The room. The service. The location. The comfort. The bathroom. The parking was safe.
Couldn't get the wi-fi to work.
Large well equipped room with TV and free wifi Lovely breakfast Friendly and helpful owner Dog friendly Great value for money Super restaurant next door
I was in room 1 and I was woken up twice by late arrivals as the parking area was outside my window. Not a problem in other rooms I expect.
The quality of the decor, the cleaness, the calm and the garden.
We booked the large suite on the top floor and it was fabulous. Furthermore it didn't cost any more than a normal room in any other hotel! The jacuzzi was fantastically ferocious and the bed one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. A superb stay!
We Loved the village, the house is so pretty, the bedroom is beautiful and very nicely decorated. The owner is Lovely helpful and very friendly. The view from our room was so Lovely.
the restaurant next door was not open for an evenin
Absolutely everything! This outwardly nondescript little hotel way out in the countryside west of Le Mans holds an amazing surprise inside. From the lobby to the beautiful, carpeted spiral staircase to our incredibly well-appointed room, everything is first-class. When we entered our room we were greeted by an oversized room and bed, large open windows with gently blowing full-length curtains, a large, well- lit, almost lavish bathroom, and even a separate closet for our bags. While air-conditioning simply wasn’t needed due to the cool breeze through the windows, the Internet access worked perfectly. The food in the restaurant next door was another truly pleasant surprise – it was excellent. While dining you have a ceiling to floor view of the hotel’s “back yard” with veranda and terrace. We were travelling from Normandy to the Loire Valley (Chatellerault) purposely skipping Autoroutes and using only back roads in order to experience and enjoy the lovely French countryside. What an unexpected pleasure it was to find this unique hotel – it added so perfectly to the experience we were after. Monica was extremely kind and helpful. When we left I wrote in the guest book that we had had a “wonderful experience.” How true.
Nothing at all.
Location in quiet tiny village. Peaceful, beautiful rooms - fresh, delicious breakfast in lovely surroundings and the lady in charge was charming and helpful. The restaurant next door is extremely good - although alas it was closed for alterations when we stayed this time. This is now our second stay and would go out of our way to book here again.
The beds were über comfy and the views and atmosphere were a perfect start to our holiday. Lady on reception was very helpful and booked a table for us at a nearby creperie in Loue.
The breakfast didn't have a hot selection but that wasn't really an issue.
Generally the whole thing. A really attractive hotel in a quiet location.
Unfortunately there was a family dining with children running about. It would have been better to have put this family outside or at one end of the dining area.
Lovelly hotel just outside Le Mans. Great meal at the restaurant next door. Very good breakfast.
all very good, great cuisine next door at at reasonable prices
Loved the location and the peace and tranquility especially after a camping holiday. Cheville is near to Le Mans but a million miles away from the hustle and bustle.
Hotel opening hours. We had to wait an hour until the hotel was open to book in.
We'll concur with the general good vibes. This is a lovely hotel, and although we only used it to stop overnight during those long north-south drives and therefore can't really comment on the location (other than it's a lovely little village), the hotel itself would make a fine place to enjoy a longer stop. The restaurant next door is a treat as well.
Nada. It was perfect for our needs.
We booked this hotel as a stopover on our way to west coast of France. After reading other reviews we went for the suite in the eaves. It was well worth it as it wasn't much more expensive than other rooms. We arrived just in time for dinner in the restaurant next door which was the best meal we ate while in france. So reasonably priced. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.
We only had booked it for one night.
Very well run small hotels, a lot better than most French country hotels. Our dog stayed and was free. The restaurant next door was excellent and we had a very nice evening meal, far better than most French restaurants we have been to. Breakfast was very leisurely and constantly topped up with bread, croissants and coffee. Very well priced. Unfortunately slightly off our normal route to Dordogne or we would always stop here.
Was this really in France?
Very helpful and friendly staff, good variety of food at breakfast buffet which was frequently stocked, rooms modern and clean
Peaceful lovely garden very friendly staff
Only a curtain instead of a door in the toilet no mirror above the dressing table. No English television.
Lovely enclosed garden, charming staff, and our little dog made very welcome! This was our second stay, and we have already booked our next stay.
No English TV!
located quite close to Le Mans and the highways A28/A81 which is perfect for travellers from England to the Southwest of France. The value for money is exceptional. the owner is most friendly and helpful.
everything, the resturant next door was able to give me gluten free choices on the menu
We are frequent travellers to SW France and we loved this beautiful small hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to strongly recommend! We were travelling back to Caen from Bergerac and this is an excellent small hotel. A beautiful and sympathetic restoration of a typical old building with wonderful up-market facilities. The owner, Monica, is particularly friendly and helpful. Fantastic spacious comfortable en suite bedroom. Lovely adjoining restaurant with great food. Everything thoroughly recommended. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Safe parking opposite the hotel as it's in a very quiet village. A lovely place. Thank you so much Monica!
Not particularly well signposted (especially in the dark!!). Sat Nav essential if you have one! But that certainly wouldn't stop us staying again. Mention your likely arrival time time when booking so that restaurant can be made aware.
the staff is very friendly indeed. the room was large and light and the bathroom was new with the shower working perfectly. all very clean. excellent value for money.
