I had a nice stay and felt mostly welcomed despite being a young, single traveler. The staff patiently tolerated my terrible French (they were perfectly capable and willing to speak English but indulged my desire to practice) and helped me when I had questions. A generally calm, attentive atmosphere. The environmental awareness was also heartening, and my room was always spotless, thank you! The 8 euro breakfast is complete and delicious but I found the price to be a bit steep - isn't it more French to just get a coffee and croissant for 2 euro? They do not scrimp on quantity or quality, but I think it'd be nice to provide more (less expensive) options.

This hotel looks nothing from the outside but the interior has been decorated cleverly to make budget look boutique. The small room was cheaply but elegantly fitted with everything we needed, comfortable and very clean. The staff we met were extremely helpful and friendly. We did not try the breakfast as we were off early in the morning but the coffee was good. We had recently been staying in a similarly priced and starred hotel in Jersey and this lovely stylish little place was miles ahead in attitude and looks.

We stayed for one night on our way home from Italy. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood with good restaurants and a small supermarket within walking distance. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes or into the old town in around 20. We liked the fact that it was located away from the tourist area. Good parking in nearby streets. Clean, comfortable room on 2nd floor, with lift access. A good continental breakfast in the light and airy dining room. English is spoken.

It was convenient for the ferry terminal. Also, Saint-Malo has real character both as a seaside resort and historically. Not the hotel as such, but in Saint-Malo it is difficult to find a restaurant that serves anything but seafood.

Eric & Arlette run a delightfully small hotel providing a warm welcoming atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was immaculately clean. Location was close to amazing beach and plenty of restaurants. Parking not an issue in immediate vicinity. Great walk to old town along the promenade.

This is a very efficiently run small hotel very near the main St Malo long beach. Although you have to park in the nearby streets, this proved to be not too difficult. The rooms are functional but comfortable and all your basic needs are met. It is quite a long lovely walk on the promenade to the old town but there are many buses available. We would use this hotel again.

Brit Le Soucouf is a wonderfull find of a hotel. It is small, welcoming and magic for lots of reasons and lives up to all the other good reviews. Wonderful staff, great room and a breakfast that was especially good value when it also afforded an opportunity to get travel and restaurant advice all if which turned out to be inspired.Great walks along the beachfront to St.Malo, nearby eat at La Hoquette, Breasserie du Sillion (little expensive but worth it! ) and in old city great value in many restaurants though the little 'Au P'tit Bouchot' stands out! Short drives to Dinan old port, Solidor (Saint Servan) and a longer drives to Bayoux, and Sainte-Mere-Eglise where you can start your Normandy Landing experience (effecting, emotional amd worth it!) In fewer words Brit Le Sourcouf was wonderful for us and we will return soon. A very minor complaint would be that Wireless broadband was slow however it as fine for our needs.

Lift access to all levels newly installed. Generous continental breakfast provided. Courteous, friendly and considerate staff. On bus routes to St Malo and numerous other places for those who come without vehicle but remember there are no buses on Sunday. Just up the road is a beautiful spacious clean beach for the good weather. Good restaurants and food shopping nearby to suit both self-caterers or those who like to eat out. Free WiFi in the hotel meant I could use my notebook computer to keep up with business and surf for pleasure (very useful as tv in- room only had French channels) Lack of air extraction in toilet/bathroom meant that unpleasant odours could linger in the room. Could not get English language channels on tv.
