We paid extra for a confort room, which turned out to be in an adjacent building. This block of rooms has a main public car park accessed directly underneath at ground level, so with windows open you get a lot of traffic and/or pedestrian noise, and some fumes.
The separate bathroom and WC both have light sensors so that if you visit either of them during the night, the lights come on automatically. How mad is that! (Compounded by sometimes operating if you happen to turn over in bed, to which the Receptionist's answer was "well you must keep the doors closed".)
The room was quite dark because of large fixed external louvres, presumably designed to give visual privacy from the public car park to the rear.
Some of the other rooms at the rear of the main hotel building were in a ground and first floor older purpose built block, which didn't look very appealing.
We didn't take breakfast there but from what we saw was rather average at a fullish price.
Didn't think our stay represented good value for money.
Excellent location in La Fleche, easy private parking once you've squeezed through the arch. Large modern, clean bedroom, smartly decorated.
