Best Western Le Vinci Loire Valley  

Location and parking is great. Rooms as expected for a Best Western.

We were a group of 4 with 3 rooms, our rooms were located in an alcove which was convenient for us.

The hotel was clean, smart and the staff were very helpful. Facilities were good for the price and location was also good; excellent for visiting the chateaux of the Loire and only a 20 min walk into the centre of Amboise itself.

We felt that the breakfast - at 13 Euros pp - was a little over-priced. On the morning we ate, the hot options had been reduced to a single saucisson and some very tired looking scrambled eggs. The cold selection is fine - with some interesting cheeses - but 13 Euros a head was not justified.

Clean, comfortable, practical

The 3 nights for the price of 2 made this hotel reasonable value but without the offer I would consider this expensive for the quality.

The hotel is right on the outskirts of town with nothing in the way of restaurants or shops nearby so only really suitable for those able to drive into town for dinner etc. Taxis aren't very prevalent and would be needed for everywhere you wanted to go unless you were prepared to walk (and it isn't a particularly nice walk either!).

Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Adequate off road car parking. Substantial and reasonably priced breakfast.

Gravel a bit noisy when people came in late evening and early morning. A very overpowering smell to the cleaning product used for the room that lingered for a long time!

The hotel was very comfortable and typically French. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room was most attractive and the variety of foods available each morning extensive. My wife and I will most definitely return to the Le Vinci when we next visit Amboise.

The hotel was very easy to find,well signed and an attractive looking building. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was of adequate size, clean, and very comfortable.

The small staff were very efficient and hard-working, friendly and helpful

The rooms and particularly the bathrooms were very small.

Comfortable bed. Clean.

The small refrigerator was loaded with overpriced drinks, etc. I'd rather have an empty refrigerator for my use! Also, there must have been half a dozen of little plasticized notices scattered about. I could have done without the fake flowers. The first room we were shown had an awful intense perfume aroma and faced onto a sometimes noisy street. When a cancellation came in, we got a non-perfume room that faced onto the back, which was quiet and much more pleasant.

It's location was very good, easy to locate and also to park

location close to Amboise ,easy to park within the hotel private carpark. breakfast is not cheap but at least the food is good . the hotel staff is friendly apart one of them who dont understand internet connection ( see below ) .

internet connection : during the whole stay ,we have to reconnected to the network ( login and password ) every 10 minutes , very annoying . When I asked one the staff , I was told " it is normal and due the law against terrorism " !!. When I insisted that there are the only hotel I know which have such requirement ,normally you log in one time for the whole stay . The staff become unpleasant and arrogant ,so I give up . When I checked out , I mentionned this internet problem to an other staff , who knew better the system and she agreed with me that it was not normal and that the system is normally design with one log in procedure per stay ( like any other hotel ) and planned to mentioned it to the IT service. Conclusion : a bit more training to some of the staff on internet will be welcomed ,coupled with some thought on the service to the customer : like listen to the custoner who is not always wrong !

Staff at front desk and breakfast was very helpful.

1. Safe could not hold a laptop. 2. No dresser 3. Shutters over our windo prevented looking out.
