It was very close to the train station and not a far walk from the center of the old town. The night we checked in, the concierge didn't know what time the bus station opened the next day. We wanted to get tickets to Mont Saint Michel, which is a popular destination from Rennes -- it's really unacceptable that she wouldn't know what time the station opened, as it's across the street from the hotel. She also had to ask twice about our wake-up call and breakfast. The sheets and towels were a bit rough. |

Staff was very helpful and kind and close to the TGV station. The room was old with very basic facility, a bit smell may come from the old carpet, but the toilet was very clean. |

The reception staff were extremely friendly and took care to speak clearly so I could understand their french, which I thought was very kind. The room was basic, with no drawers, but it had everything we needed and was kept clean and neat. A great situation in the town, right opposite the station and excellent value for money. Cannot comment on breakfast as did not have it. Room was a little noisy at night from the traffic outside, but the window was pretty well soundproofed, so with it shut there was not a problem. |

The hotel Rooms were clean and comfortable for a 2 star hotel. The shower/Toilet is very clean and staff were very helpful. Also the hotel is well located near the centre of the town. And the metro from the opposite train station make access to town easy. I think the corridor landing carpets need renewing as they are quite stained. |

Opposite Garde du Nord Rennes, so easy to find, but noisy at times with window open. Parking was at the railway station, secure, but over 20 Euros for a day and a half. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast basic, but not too expensive and saves searching. Plenty of places to eat nearby. No air-conditioning. |

If travelling into Rennes by train this hotel is directly in front of the north exit of the station. It is central but the walk to the old part of the city takes a good 10 - 15 minutes. The price of a room in this hotel is low, making it popular with backpackers etc. This hotel is rated as a two star. One star would be flattering. It was dingy and very basic. There was a disgusting smell throughout, which made it very unpleasant to stay in. |
