A beautiful hotel on the banks of the Royal Channel. It has "Belle Epoque" architecture and various styles of rooms, around a patio under glass roof. The service will make your stay unforgettable. Hotel Rooms: 43

The Grand Hotel is located right on the banks of the sete city canal, bustling with fishing and pleasure boats. It is also a short walk from many restaurants, and very close to city center. It has a secure garage, with video surveillance. The building is xix century, with a covered coiurtyard converted into a breakfast patio. Rooms are comfortable, with double panes insuring perfect sound insulation. Bathrooms are top notch... The furniture is period re-creations, and the decoration professionnally blends classicism and modernism, with efficient lighting, free WiFi. I will never stay at anothyer place in Sete as long as they maintain the quality and the price (super reasonable...) The staff is courteous, professionnal and well trained. ... only the reception area is below the quality of the remainder of the hotel, without style.... A shame!!!

A very nice hotel at afforable prices with the touch of elegance and tasteful design and interior. Breathtaking view over the Grand Canal and the city from the rooms with a view and balconies. The breakfastbuffet is excellent, served in the glassroofed centercourt reminds you of old- world orangeries.

We have stayed at this hotel before and were not disappointed. We had a grand room with four balconies so had wonderful views of the canals. The staff were very helpful. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was excellent. Nothing really except our toilet was very small and could provide problems for large people.

Wonderful view of the canals from our small balcony. Very pleasant, stylish hotel. Amazingly quiet when the double windows are closed despite the very busy road outside. We slept very well indeed.

The location of this hotel at the intersection of 2 canals was perfect. It's close to restaurants and activity along the quay, yet a bit removed from the main action spots further south. The hotel is gracious and didn't seem "dowdy" or past its prime (as has been expressed in some reviews). We enjoyed the absolutely perfect view outside our window of canals and morning sunshine, a great lunch at La Peniche, and beach time at La Corniche.

Excellent view and interesting contemporary (sympathetic) remodelling of an old building. Quiet and relaxed breakfast area. WiFi on top floor was very intermittent, but it was included in the room price which was good.

The hotel was very good, although our room on the second floor was a little on the small side. The resteraunt was second to none, with a fantastic menue and wine list. All the staff were exceptional. Highly recommended.

The architecture, the grand salon and the new on-suite bath room in our bedroom, very nicely laid out a joy to the eye. Not knowing were the Hotel parking was. On asking at the reception they did not explain to us the entrance door and alleyway were only suitable for small cars, after a fighting our way around the one way system, we were unable to get in to the garage and had to use the public parking, no real big deal other then being a long walk with our suitcases. A little forethought would have made our arrival more pleasant..

“I found the staff very welcoming and attentive. They were also helpful in respect to advice about getting around Sete and places to visit. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with good use of colour and design features. It is also just ten minutes easy walking from the train station, next to the theatre, and on the main bus route.” Anne, London |
