Staff very friendly. Good location. Rooms are not that big but adequate for a icy break stay. Price did not include breakfast. Would come back. Although there was some building work in the building next door! Didnt bother complaining about it though!

The hotel's experienced staff are always helpful and at your service. The hotel is comfortable. The location is ideal. The soundproofing in our room left something to be desired: conversations in an ajoining room were clearly audible.

The hotel is just great place highly recommended to stay in Paris. Location is Latin quarter the best area of Paris, rue Sommerard is a small quiet side street just in a few steps from Saint-Germain and Saint-Michel boulevards where you can find everything needed - restaurants, shops, farmacies, etc. There are a lot of high quality french cuisine restaurants (Zagat rated) located in a few steps around. All main attractions are just in minutes' walking distance - 5 min Notre-Dame, 5 min Pantheon, 20 min Louvre museum, 20 min Orsay museum, 20 min Pompidou center. The hotel is clean, they have non-smoking policy. Breakfast is a bit expensive (15 euro) but it worth: they have plenty choices of cheese, pastry, cornflakes, eggs, fresh squeezed juices, tea/coffee and yes they have champagne for breakfast. Rooms are not that big in size but as I stayed alone for me it was quite enough space in normal twin room with one bed. Btw when I made my booking I've written in the comments that I'd prefer to have room with shower cab and on the high floor if possible. When I arrived I found they've satisfied my request, they gave me 5th floor and room was with shower cab (room 505 btw it has little balcony with view to Notre-Dame's spire which is a nice option). Actually one of the main things of this hotel is great staff, I have to say thanks to all of them for their kind help which is important especially when you're first time in the city. All the guys are professional, polite and really helpfull giving suggestions/answers to all of the questions. They provided me help with different things such as finding right directions/transport, giving warm blanket while it was really cold outside and even solving problems with my mobile phone sim-card. Obviously this hotel is the best choice to stay in the city, I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip to Paris. Poor sound proofing but it's a problem of all european small hotels. Air conditioner exists but doesn't work in the whole building. I stayed there in February and I don't know how they solve this problem in summer but in winter while it's cold outside they have heating system which is ok. The rest is fine, no complains!

It was a cute Hotel in an excellent location. We could go everything we want from this site. And at the night we never take a cab or metro because the most bistros, bars and people were near the hotel. The room was cleaned at a regular basis. I would stay there again. The hotel was above Boulevard saint germain and about 10-15 minutes walk to Notre-dam. Small room but I think as almost in Paris.

The location was excellent and the staff very helpful. Our room (standard double although small was clean and welcoming with a nice bathroom with shower cubicle which was what we wanted. Had breakfast every morning as there was a good and extensive choice . Liked the champagne available and enjoyed a bucks fizz for breakfast on our wedding anniversary. Only small niggle was that there were glasses to be used for hot drinks in the room and we were not aware of this and kept requesting cups which we would have preferred.

The staff were extremely helpful both before and throughout our visit, sending maps, directions and travel tips beforehand and always happy to give local info when required. The room was tastefully furnished and effectively arranged, maximising the space available. You couldn't ask for a better location, just around the corner from the Notre Dame on one side and literally a few steps away from the Sorbonne and the Palais and Jardin du Luxembourg on the other. Although we had a room facing onto the street itself, it was so quiet that we were able to sleep with the windows open. The breakfast was gorgeous with endless croissants, jambon and fromage! We will definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends. Freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning would have completed that "je ne sais quoi"

Fantastic location with ready access to all of the tourist sites. The hotel reception staff were the friendliest I have encountered in all of my trips to Paris, always ready with information about the local area. Only average sized rooms but they were clean and well kept with a well equipped bathroom.

We were warmly greeted by the reception staff. All our questions re buses, subway etc were answered graciously. We loved the 'breakfast in the cellar'! The hotel was in a great area with easy access to tourist sites, restaurants and shopping areas. We would definitely say at this hotel again. We didn't really like the tiny lift.We will stay again but will be requesting a room on the ground or second floor so we can walk up the stairs!!

Helpful and courteous staff, great location for the Left Bank, fast free WiFi, clean and modern bathroom with good shower. Last minute price was unbeatable. Room 403 was one the tiniest we've ever stayed in--there was barely space to pass around the bed. Being right next to the elevator made it quite noisy as well although wearing earplugs solves the problem

Djamal at the front desk was the best of the lot. Knowledgable , courteous & helpful. I liked the location of the Hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms as per Paris standards. Overall a pleasurable experience. Tourists visiting Paris must expect small size rooms unless they are willing to pay exorbitant rates, which I feel is unnecessary if you are hardly in the room. Might as well spend the additional euros on sightseeing & delectable food options available all throughout the Latin Quarter. No views from the windows

The reception staff were very helpful. We had a lovely airy room with a balcony (although I have stayed here before and some of the rooms are quite small). The dining room is unusual with a vaulted ceiling and the buffet breakfast was excellent value with attentive staff and the tastiest orange juice I've tried! All in all, a lovely relaxing few days.

“Very good location close to many attractions. On a quiet street so pleasant for sleeping in an area that is otherwise quite active. Lobby was very tasteful and the staff was extremely pleasant. For the price it also represented excellent value relative to other hotels we've stayed at in Paris.” Jeff, Port Moody, Bc |
