Hôtel Albe Saint Michel is in a central location, in the heart of Paris’ Latin Quarter, by the Seine River. It is 5 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and the chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Score from 632 reviews Very good
This elegant hotel is in central Paris, just a 5 minute walk from The Louvre. The hotel features a bar and restaurant with terrace. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary half-bottle of wine.
Score from 169 reviews Very good
*Location was ideal for area around Notre Damme. *Off the main road and quiet. *Staff on reception very helpful.
*Breakfast was not included in the price and expensive for the choice provided. *Rooms quite small and air con needed to be on all night otherwise it was too hot (oct). *Shower fairly weak and shower head could not go very high. *Chest of drawers would have been better than shelves in the cupboard. One shelf was too high, even for me at 6ft tall.
The service was exceptionally good, and the hotel itself far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended, and I would return there tomorrow!
Central location, yet quiet. State of the art rooms.
Having to book (and pay) a double even though it was just me traveling.
Close proximity to all the attractions in Paris. Easy access to the bus and railway station. Service from the front desk staff was great, Andre and Andrea. Thank you both.
Hotel is in great location.Bars and restaurant's nearby and only a short walk to Rue de Mouffetard. Reception staff are professional and very helpful. Cleanliness throughout.
Nothing at all .
Good location. Nice and helpful personnel
Really small rooms and access to them (stairs, halls, elevators etc) but that's typical for Paris hotels.
The location is excellent. Comfortable bed, in room safe, kettle and mini fridge. Large bathroom.
The room didn't look like the pictures, small window, tub shape is difficult to stand in to shower because it narrows towards the end (do not stay here if you have any balance issues) . We also had trouble with our key and hair dryer not working.
Excellent location - close to metro, lots of cafes, sites, shops, but on a quiet street. Excellent staff - very friendly front desk and housekeeping. We stayed a week and they knew our names and chatted. The breakfast lady was a bit terse though. Room was very comfortable - smallish but average for central Paris. The beds and pillows were great (this is why I book 3-star hotels, minimum, in Europe). A/c worked well and was quiet. Breakfast was ok - in the basement. Looked like a wine cellar, which was kind of cool, but still a bit dreary for breakfast time (no windows). Lots of fresh cut up fruit, nice juice, yogurt, variety of breads, pastries, cheeses. They offer only scrambled (microwaved - they told us) eggs. So the breakfast was ok when you have to hurry, but better to go to a cafe as usual in Paris.
Our only issue with the room was that the ventilation system in the hotel somehow vented the smell of cigarettes into the bathroom!? If we didn't close the bathroom door, the room took on a cigarette smell! Although it quickly dissipated if we opened the window for a half hour. Maybe it was just our room or floor that may have been near a staff break room (I'm guessing)? Anyway, it didn't bother us really.
What a lovely place to stay in Paris. You will love the setting, the little garden, the comfort of the honesty bar, the "personality" of the rooms, the friendliness of the concierge (Mr Andre is not a receptionist, more like a front desk manager or a concierge). Very convenient and in a quiet street - metro very close, restaurants, shops, Notre Dame, La Sorbonne...
Staff very friendly and helpful. Premises neat and looked after
The first day my wife got some stale gluten free products for breakfast served between 7 to 10 30 but if you get there by 9 45 you dont know how much is left on the buffet!! Sat morning no croissants or pastrys very little cheese. Dont think they top up but they still charge you 15 euros. Over all was all good. I am not complaining just some feedback towards improvement in the future.
Beds comfortable Good black out of curtains Quiet outside as off main street and yet within 3 minutes' walk of main Latin Quarter
Close to Notre Dame within walking distance to Louvre and Musee D'Orsay.
No kettle in the room
Location. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Small rooms. Lack of toiletries. Poor in room coffee/tea
Located on a quiet street, a few blocks walking distance to the sights and sounds of a tourist's dream.
Location. Friendly staff. Room facilities.
This hotel is quiet, comfortable and has a nice location to visit Paris :-)!
One of the best location value for money for staying in Paris. Many thanks to the staff!
The rooms were an excellent standard The staff were very helpfull and polite
The bed could have been bigger as my partner is over six foot tall and his legs went over the end of bed
Everything of the above.
I'd liked to have had a small table with 2 regular chairs as to be able to sit properly. You asked!
The room was rather small, but I appreciate that the hotel is in the centre of Paris.
Although located in the Latin Quarter, it was very quiet, and so convenient to transport, good eating places, and an easy walk to so many places of interest. It was also possible to open the window to the balcony. A real bonus.
Great location Close to everything Easy to get train from airport
Shit service by staff Rude staff and very unhelpful Terrible directions given to find the hotel The staff had no idea about reccomednations for getting there or around. They give incorrect information for hotel transfers and they were rude when asking for cheap taxis and food. If you need help with getting around don't stay here. I got help from friends before travel so just did my own thing.
I didn't like that one evening when I was coming back to the hotel, there was a man outside of the entrance who was making an obvious show of staring at me in a sleazy manner. When I walked into the hotel lobby to get my key the counter was vacant. The same man then walked inside and attended the desk to give me my key. At that point I did not feel respected as a paying customer. My friend and I both considered his conduct to be extremely inappropriate. I did not appreciate the compromise to my comfort and feeling of safety in staying at the hotel.
-from this location you can easily walk to many historic churches as well as the car rouge stop and Metro at Notre Dame -close to a variety of good restaurants, as short 1 block walk to rue St. Germain -breakfast in the cellar is very good -staff friendly and knowledgeable, booked the airport shuttle to pick us up as well as the taxi for our departure
