scala a chiocciola,nesun ascensore,camera piccola,triste alquanto trascurata,tapezzeria sbiadita...bagno alla francese ovviamente peccato che la parte con il wc fosse così piccola che se si chiudeva la porta per un minimo di riservatezza si rischiava di pizzicarsi il naso... |

the old charm of the hotel, it was old but nice, clean and we were made very welclome, nothing to much trouble, the staff were happy and would definatly stay again, great location for town and parking |

Le Morand is the kind of French hotel that is quickly going out of style. It is creaky, small and noisy with flower-patterned wallpaper and no lift. But that's what makes it so great: It's a throwback to a different era, when travelling was an adventure and hotels had personality. If you can survive without PlayStation-era creauture comforts, this is for you. In fact, you should go there by 2 CV in order to get into the right "Jacques Tati" mood. |

The staff is helpful, the hotel is in the city centre (20 meters from the museum of beaux arts), so it is a good choice if you want to visit Rouen. The hotel is within an old palace, which gives it a beuatiful touch. The room is characteristic and very nice, not just an average anonymous hotel room. The bathroom was too small, there was barely enough space to sit on the WC (I was almost asking for a room change but I punted). No elevator, and very narrow staircase (which is the cons of being an old palace). |

We didn't like anything!! It is in huge need of a make over. Also when it rained at night the noise on a plastic roof was very noisy. |

Friendly staff who emailed me before my departure. Good value for the price, clean and with an old building with real character, set in the old part of the beautiful Rouen. Also quiet location. |

The hotel is nicely located: only one block away of the centre. It was not very charming but functional and value for money. The parking was good in the basement below the hotel. Breakfast was OK for being French. |

Old hotel in a very central location. Room was clean and staff polite. Early check in and late check out allowed for more time than average to use the room. There was a very strong smell of food in the reception. Need to open the windows more. |

The manager/owner and his staff speak English and were very helpful and cared about our satisfaction. The location is an easy walk from the train station and convenient to the historic sites in Rouen. The beds need new mattresses. (We still slept well.) |

The owner of the hotel was very helpful when I asked him for directions to various locations (out of Rouen). He spoke very good English and was warm and friendly. The room got a little cold as the radiator didn't seem to be working. However this was promptly resolved by the owner who provided us with a small, portable radiator. Definitely appreciated the initiative. |
