We liked the location - the historic ambiance, comfortable bedroom and bathroom.

The restaurant was a disappointment. They did not know how to prepare medium rare steak!

The location is ideal for hanging out in Lourmarin and good for visiting other little towns in Provence. Also, the Friday Marchè begins about 100 feet outside of the front door and was the best Marchè that we have ever been to. Our room was spacious, the bed was very good as were the linens. The A/C functioned very well too. Most of all, the staff is the best!

Parking is challenging and there is no real bellman. Upon arrival, lovely and petite Sandrina, who was on the front desk, helped us lug our bags (over our objections) and gave us a little help with parking too.

Great hotel, superb location. Our room had a wonderful view to the Castle of Lourmarin. Staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is quite expensive, but it's wonderful. Best hotel and best room that we've ever had.

    Hair dryer old. Terrible

We had a luxury room, spacious, clean, cozy, quiet, with a wonderful iron bed and view on the castle. Breakfast on the terrace under the trees. A wonderful chef prepares dinner, at reasonable prices.

no parking (can be a problem during high season), no swimming pool or similar facilities

Great location in town. Close to all restaurants and wine tasting. Would stay here again. Loved this beautiful village in Provence.

Delightful spot in Lourmarin 50 metres from the surprisingly buzzing centre of town where a group of cafes and culture all merge. This town has real personality and the hotel is right by it.

Sundays are busy in the restaurant so unless you book you won't be able to just sit and have a cup of tea.

The Le Moulin de Lourmarin presents delicious dinners and comfortable rooms in an excellent location.

The hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade and refurbishment.

Extremely welcoming staff and fabulous location. We upgraded to a superior room and it was wonderful - loads of space and wonderful bed. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts were also wonderful.

Bathroom needed updating - no real shower, just a bath and a hand-held shower. It's the only reason I didn't rate comfort full marks. It's billed as a luxury hotel - it needs a proper shower facility.

For the first time the restaurant was open when I stayed at the Moulin and the meal was very tasty and good.

As a business traveler it is still disappointing to see that the Moulin has not extended its wifi provision to all the rooms.

Location right in the center of Lourmarin and a few steps from the castle, the staff is extremely efficient and friendly. Breakfast is great. Very good value for the money.

The staff person who greeted us was very nice and helpful. The room was fair but clean.

The Wifi was present in the building BUT was not available in your room. Therefore to answer or write emails etc you had to leave your room to connect and use the internet.

Beautiful interior spaces in the hotel. Friendly, attentive, staff.

I booked this hotel for two nights. at the beginning of this year, looking forward to eating in their restaurant. A month ago we were e-mailed to say that the restaurant would be closed for annual holidays, whilst we were there. That was disappointing. The air conditioning was broken. We had an unfortunate mishap, at breakfast, on the second day. The waiter tipped a pot of boiling milk, on my wife. He took action very quickly and luckily enough, the scald didn't blister. He was extremely apologetic and offered to call a Doctor but there was no need. As it is, accidents happen and my wife is fine, so no harm done.

We loved Le Moulin de Lourmarin for several reasons: it's in the middle of the village of Lourmarin, which has been designated one of France's "prettiest villages" which makes it convenient to walk through-out the village, it's shops and delicious restaurants; it's history and architecture as a reconverted olive oil mill makes it interesting and CHARMING, the rooms are relatively big, the beds are COMFY and we had a view of the castle from our room; the staff speaks English and is very helpful, accommodating and attentive; there are several common areas with comfy chairs and sofas, because there is not Wi-Fi in the rooms (we didn't mind this because we weren't there on business and we met some nice people;) the food in the dining room and on the garden patio is excellent. We definitely, want to go back!

Good, not exceptional as it looks. Note that this is a centuries old stone building with all the problems and charms it carries. Good decoration. Lourmarin has been voted as one of the most beautiful villages of France.

Avoid rooms on first floor overlooking the castle and fields as ants, mosquitoes, flies will be found under your sheets. There is nothing to keep them out if you or the cleaner open the window. I spent 15 minutes killing them and then having enough I asked for another room. I was refused with every silly excuse brought up by the front desk man. I argued and threatened to call After ten minutes and talking to the manager I was offered an upgrade. Do not get the breakfast for that price, not worth it. Go to Gabby's in the village or to the boulangerie.
