Location, location, location. Right in the heart of the old city with shops and restaurants right outside the door. Quaint and romantic old building and apartment, well decorated.
Public parking about 300m away (but it was free). Carrying suitcases up the narrow winding staircase (experience though)
It was in the centre of the exciting part of the city lots to see and do love the train which gave you the history of the village and during the war ..
The rooms were hot .. There could have been a electric fan . Then the windows could be closed to subdue the loud noises from the road and the cafe ,only one roll of toilet paper :-(
It was a great location and having room to spread out was wonderful.
The location was great, BUT it was LOUD. We didnt mind the normal street noise but every night we were there after midnight there were VERY LOUD World Cup celebrations with many cars driving through the old town honking horns etc.
Great location in the heart of city. Good WiFi.
Very noisy. No aircondition.
The Location was excellent Bed was comfortable
No closet for clothes No comfortable chair(s) No Ducth or Belgium TV No emergency exit
This appartment is in a fantastic location - right in the heart of the city. We have a young baby and it was by far the best accomodation for us. Easy to get around, plenty of space, parking near by. It really made for a great visit to Colmar!
Superb location with parking nearby. Interesting and attractive apartment. Clean and comfortable. Would return for a future visit.
Wifi did not work and a few fixtures in the bathroom could use repairing. Noisy bar downstairs wasn't too bothersome.
Great location. Fascinating to stay in such an old building with mod cons
Arrival time had to be arranged as owner not on premises.
Location and the bed was comfortable. The red hearts in the living room.
The pictures I viewed prior to booking were a complete misrepresentation. Period. Upon entry, the downstairs pub smell assault you. Not fish & chips smells, mind you. More like booze, urine and vomit. No lift was expected in this old building but then you must wind your way (with bags) up narrow winding stairs (4&5 floors of them) to be greeted by a starkly-appointed unit. Along with a kruddy toaster & coffee pot which we did not use & a dangerous-looking microwave oven which we didn't touch (coils exposed) and overall poor kitchenette set-up, there were so few basics that came with this 4th & 5th floor oddly-sized unit. I'm surprised we were not told to bring our own linens/towels because we certainly needed more of everything else: toilet paper for crying out loud(!), some hand towels & a sponge (clean please) for washing dishes. I slept in a sleeping bag which I am glad I packed; just wish we had one for everyone to stay warm. Cleaning supplies and tools were left sitting out in the one small toilet room. Shower was puny and had a light lace window covering to give you little privacy. The whole place was cold, despite having radiators. Our teenagers slept upstairs in our room on extra beds because the "pullout", or whatever it was, was located in the "living room" & came with a lumpy pillow covered w/ a dirty-gray coloured case. Room which a stones toss to the front door. All the doorknobs in this place were loose and the kids were creeped out by what could stumble in the door after the pub closed. Bad experience. Booked several nights but left the next day. Had to pay 2days worth but glad to get out of there.
The location is an absolute plus, I.E. being in the center of Colmar. The wifi worked fine and was also an advantage.
We has only part of the lights working, part of the heating working. We ran out of matches and there was no toilet paper and those little things. Also the cleaning was done, but our glasses and rest was not clean (rests of wine left).
