Les Balcons du Savoy    

Good facilities in apartment. Everything clean. We liked the dishwasher with the quick wash.

Curtain in main bedroom jammed. We don't like duvets; far too hot, though that could be us!

Excellent location and facilities.

Pool a bit cold!

The apartment was large enough to accomodate us all with all of our luggage. Plenty of closet space. The kitchen was tiny but functional. The views were amazing and the facility's are exceptionally well located within an easy walk to the town center, shops, restaurants, ski lifts, and situated right on the field where the paragliders land. All in all, an amazing stay.

The wifi was weak, and you had to keep running down to the lobby to connect, then carry your computer or ipad back up to your room. If you wanted extra towels during your stay, you had to rent them. The beds were a bit lumpy. But these are minor discomforts compared to all the good about the facility. I would recommend this apartment/hotel for any family traveling to Chamonix.

Chamonix was a great place, this hotel should be 2 star not 4 tho !!!

Very bad sofa bed to sleep on, a shower that's only any good if your under 5ft, the swimming pool was cold, the steam room was broken. Wifi didnt work, There is no restaurant. and is definitely NOT ski to door as advertised....

There was parking

For the price this was very basic accommodation. Cleaning up after ourselves and intermittent wifi was not what we'd expected for this money...

Nice staff. Nice roomsfully equipped. Comfortable quite and clean. Walking distance from ski school. Literally 1 min. And excellent spa service.

Chalet style, the rooms are big and very comfortable and well finished, we had a fantastic view and one of the only ski out and ski in hotels in Chamonix

Very expensive + you have to do the dishes and take the rubbish befour leaving, check in is only at 15:00 and check out by 10:00 so makes for a very expensive weekend. The breakfast is not worth taking very minimal.

All of the staff were exceptional and always willing to offer help and solutions.

I would have liked it if there was an on site bar/ lounge for Apres Ski and evening cocktails, and perhaps some light food.

Not much actually....

The apartment was tiny though advertised as large enough for six people. If we had six people (two in the living room on the pull out sofa) we would have had to walk over wach other. The WiFi didnt work in our apartment -- when I called the desk to complain, they said "WiFi does down when too many people access it. In any case it is free" FREE? For EUR500 a day when you advertise wifi, you had better make sure it works! The staff are unhelpful and rarely even move from their chairs in the accounting area which is next to the reception. If you ask them for any advice or help, it's almost as if you are bothering them! The apartment is far from every ski slope except the Savoy and no one seems to have any idea of how to get around. The Chamonix town management does not bother to ice the sidewalks -- as a result getting to the bus in your ski boots and with your gear is a life-threatening exercise and much more dangerous than the actual skiing! That said Chamonix is a lovely town -- just hard on skiiers esp beginners. And the Balcons du Savoy? A rip off for what they charge and the staff do nothing to make your life easier!

Free internet, but utterly useless as the keyboard was all jumbled up (french!!) and impossible to log into any e-mail accounts. Better bring your own laptop as there is free wifi

Half-a-kitchen disguised as a real kitchen. Cooktop but no oven (surprise, pan-fried frozen pizza works!), no basics e.g. a little salt, some paper towels, etc. Lots of dishware but again incomplete - no water glasses, only wine, not much of a sharp knife, etc. Very bad sound-proofing, at least toward hallway, so the family that hasn't taught its kids well will be in your life all too much. A bit hard to warm the rooms

Location is great. Ease of access to the snow and ski slopes and few minutes away by walk to town center. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is cosy and nice.

Not all hotel services are available i.e. laundry (self laundry avaialable), food

Fabulous view & fab location. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment (instead of a studio )which was very spacious with a very well equipped kitchen and dishwasher. We stayed in Chamonix as we thought the resort was opening on the 1st Dec but although there was enough snow the lifts where not opening till the 8th Dec and the resort was deserted. We drove for an 1hr 15 mins into Switzerland and skied in Verbier which was a beautiful drive and great resort but not all the runs where open. Would definitely go back and stay at Les Balcons Mid season as the ski in / ski out location & underground parking makes it perfect location if only the resort was open !!!

This hotel was very clean with very friendly staff. The location is excellent with a very easy walk into the center of town.

We were a little disappointed that the pool was closed. I guess it is only open during peak times.

Everything! The feel of the hotel, the views, the impressive location, the staff, the services, the organization, the equipment provided. I could not in any way complain about anything. The only thing I could, if stressed, find, would be the wifi connection not being so good, but that was probably due to the location of the room, in a corner, overlooking Midi, Dru and everything! Couldn't ask for more.

The Hotel was close to the town of Chamonix. Just a short walk to the shops and restaurants, to the cables car and to the start of some of the walking tracks. Staff very helpful and able to communicate with us in English.

The second bed was a roll-out from under the couch/bed. Seemed okay to sleep in but I would have preferred 2 single beds or one double.

Conveniently located with underground parking, good sized rooms in apartments with a range of TV channels and well equipped if small kitchens.

Swimming pool could be warmer.

The apartment was large, and the view was fantastic!

Everything! Window sliding door looking directly at Mount Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi from our living room across a beautiful meadow! Incredible views from dawn through sunset. Excellent bed and bath facilities. Kitchen was limited, but so many restaurants in Chamonix, only a few minutes' walk from hotel. Underground parking; able to leave car entire time. Pool. Fine breakfast available. Television and free Internet access. Staff was very helpful, from recommending excellent restaurant (gourmet food plus local mountain atmosphere) to advising us on what facilities were open and closed (near the end of September). Two hours by limited access highway to the international airport in Geneva.

It have a good level of confort, there are not to many apartment hotels of this level in the mountains in France.

I'm have stay in this hotel several times in the last 20 years. At the beginning was perfect, but during this perion nothing was changed, except the flat tv or the electronic key for the parking. It need an urgent overhaul - especialy furniture reparation.
