Spacious - 300 years old - lots of antiques - great breakfast
Some distance from most areas of interest like Verdun- but worth the drive
Wonderful Maison and property. The host was wonderful and made us feel right at home. Lovely breakfast too.
Loved it all!
Beautiful family run B&B. Lovely rooms in wonderful setting. The owners could not have been more helpful.Delicious breakfast with home made jams. We had a problem with our car and they drove us to dinner in local town and collected us, They arranged garage to come out and mend car very very kind owners. Highly recommend.
The rooms are located in a stunningly beautiful old farmhouse. Rooms are big and feel like timetravel (in a good way) because the original atmosphere of the building was nicely preserved. The host is very kind and extremely helpful when we were planning our daytrips. We loved the homemade jam that was served during breakfast. Highly recommended.
I would be unable to find any negatives with respect to Les Blotteries.
Great rooms, very comfortable, fantastic proprietor.
Nothing! The stay was all we wanted and more.

Large room, host nice and helpful, 15 minutes from Mont St-Michel
We stayed one night in a renovated barn that had a double bed downstairs and 2 twin beds in a loft. It was modern & clean, and had an open sink area and shower, with a separate enclosed toilet. Private and quiet for sleeping. Jean was very nice & friendly and made breakfast for guests at a large dining table in the main house. Breakfast included assorted breads & croissants, homemade jams, fresh fruits from the farm, juice, coffee, tea. We enjoyed it before setting out to nearby Mont St. Michel.
Would prefer a door/curtain on the shower for privacy. Shower is a small tiled room with an open doorway next to the open sink area. Most businesses in St. James, the closest town, were closed on a weekday evening- we saw only 2 restaurants open so choices are limited.
few days ago, we spent two nights at this place. It was a wonderful experience. We wish we can spent more time there. The owner is super nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good. Highly recommended if you prefer country side type setting because the lodge is away from town center.
Fresh fruit and jams for breakfast from the gardens. Very friendly owner. We really enjoyed our stopover.
The farmhouse was fabulous. The host was even more fabulous. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite in the stables. Amazing.
The only thing we didn't like was that we only stayed one night. We would have loved to stay longer.
Apart from the warm welcome and excellent breakfast, we received good advice on best ways to experience Le Mont St Michel Area.
We had a beautiful stay at Les Blotteries, what a wonderful location! The host was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the warm athmosphere. The house and the rooms are really nicely arranged, with individual style and lots of charm. I will always remember the nice breakfast, the smell of the fresh lilies on the table and the amazing taste of the typical French pastries, delicious marmalades, fresh apple juice and as we asked for a good place to buy local Calvados we got an extra little sip of a very good one of the area. There's cats and horses and cows and enough peace to get a break from everyday's life. We can only reccomend Les Blotteries to everyone who is looking for a very special Normany-experience!
Our stay was way too short, so we have to come back one day!
Jean was very attentive and nothing was a bother, picking fresh cherries was a treat.
We absolutely loved our stay at this delightful location and enjoyed meandering amongst the fruit trees and beautifully landscaped grounds. Our children also loved the loft and the horses! Jean was an attentive and friendly host who served up a delicious breakfast with homemade jams. We would love to return to Les Blotteries and Mont St Michel some day.
Again, A really great stay off the beaten track. Staff great. felt like part of a family. quiet and relaxing - thank you
The house and grounds deliver an lovely feeling of old world grandeur. The hosts provide a generosity that transcends time. They catered to us so magnanimously and with many treats. Our stay was a total delight!
Lovely traditional French breakfast on a quiet peaceful farm location. Comfortable beds in spacious rooms.
Owner enthusiastic, friendly and extremely helpful
Bed not very comfortable
Our stay at Les Blotteries was perfect. The farmhouse is picturesque and beautifully restored. Jean was a great host with no request too difficult. We stopped here to visit Mont St Michel and only wished we could have stayed longer. Absolutely loved it and would recommend to all!
This country "home" was an oasis to us after a lengthy drive from the Normandy coast. Our host was welcoming and attentive. The grounds were truly gorgeous. We wished we'd had more time to spend here. It is not the easiest to find. so a GPS would be worth it's price. Not far is the town of St. James with a couple of restaurants and a charming ambience. A very nice stay.
All was to our satisfaction.
The property and rooms were well looked after and the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. The owner was friendly and very helpful with ideas on what to do in the area. Very close to Mont St. Michel. Would recommend to anybody who wants to see this area.
Everything. Accommodations, host, great coffee for breakfast, location
There was not one thing we did not like
Our stay at Les Blotteries was wonderful -- one of the highlights of our visit to France. Our host was engaging, charming, accommodating in every way. The property is beautiful and very well kept. Our suite was in one of the out-bulidngs and was very nicely appointed, private, and our teenage son was delighted to have his own bedroom upstairs. Breakfast was lovely, including home-made jams from fruit grown at the property. The location is convenient for anyone visiting Le Mont St. Michel and the Normandy beaches, or just any visit to this beautiful area. Note that since we knew we would be arriving a little bit late, we phoned ahead the previous evening to re-confirm, and the owner appreciated that courtesy very much.
We agree with other reviewers who noted that the only thing they didn't like is that they didn't have time to stay longer.
