Close to harbour and number of resaurants.
Noisy bed, creaked a lot, waking you up every time you turned over.
The location in the town is excellent and it really is value for money, the rooms are very basic but very clean. The owners and the staff were really friendly, maybe they appreciated my Del Boy style of the language.
please remember you get what you pay for, I think some of the previous negative comments are from people expecting a 5 * hotel
Bed was comfortable dinner was good
Room small breakfast was very poor no selection
Beds were clean and comfortable. Food was great and staff friendly. Flowers in window boxes were lovely and the atmosphere being in the heart of Honfleur was lovely.
The only improvement would be an increase in cleanliness - bit dusty under beds and bathroom not at sparkly as I would like
Pleasant staff, good breakfast ok rooms
In the top rooms, lots of stairs very warm, very noisy from 0400
Relaxed, welcoming staff. Ideal location close to the shops and harbour.
Room was at the top of narrow winding stairs so unsuitable for less able visitors. It was very small with just a wardrobe for storage so we had to live out of a suitcase so Ok for a short stay only.
Friendly reception Quaint hotel location food
Room cramped & uncomfortable. Too hot, noisy and unwelcoming
Room location on third floor no elevator. Very hot no fan
Location in a very friendly pedestrian zone.
Lovely quiet and good size room with en suite. Very clean & lovely view over the street and pretty houses and lovely flowers at our windows. The staff were excellent, very polite and accommodating especially as we were travelling with our two dogs. We also had lunch which was lovely. Great location with parking available nearby. Would definitely recommend.
Breakfast was very basic compared to others but of good quality.
haphazardness - this is not run like a hotel, it's a restaurant with expensive digs
Close to the harbor and comfortable room
Room was near the restaurants restroom and had diners try and come into our room
Situated very close to port. Port of Honfleur is a lovely place..Would return to Honfleur again and again.
This was such a disappointment. We had booked in here to relax for a few days after my daughter's wedding. We had to drop off some guests at beauvais airport and due to traffic delays in the area we arrived at The Cascades at 11.10pm. The entire place was LOCKED UP... the So called "Hotel", Restaurant and Bar. A waiter was leaving by back door and kindly gave us a number to ring. Another man arrived to check in , only to find he, like ourselves was locked out. We phoned the number given but each time it went straight on to voice mail. We waited and waited and our calls were not returned. My son and I eventually gave up and drove around (we were most fortunate to have a car) and eventually found an Ibis Hotel ( €99 plus taxes,) at 1.30 am. In the morning we made our way back to The Cascades. The lady was not friendly. She said that they always locked up at 11pm. I explained that we had neither wifi nor a signal for cell phone,on our journey there.Hence we were not able to contact her in advance. She was very snooty and dismissive of us. She told me that she would still charge me for the previous night even though we did not sleep there. I explained again the situation and thought she understood. We would gladly have gone to stay in another "Hotel" or a Guest House etc. However the problem was that this was the week of the 70th Celebrations of D Day Landing and all accomodation was booked out and for months in advance.. with the exception of a few 5* Hotels which were way beyond our reach. And so we had no choice. The Cascades should not be called a Hotel. There are NO facilities. There is no where to sit even to relax and read a book or study travel plans. You can sit in the Bar or Restaurant but that involves ordering something. The structure itself is a death trap. How it has passed Fire Regulations is unfathomable. It should be checked out. We were taken to the 4th floor.
The building was beautiful and the place was close to many shops cafés
I was a senior traveling alone and the friendliness of Anita, proprietor, was especially important to me. The hotel was very central, close to the Vieux Bassin, but very quiet at night. I was on 3rd floor but am fit enough that that was not a problem. Lovely room with 2 windows so cool at night.
Nothing. Would go back in a moment. Would recommend to friends.
The room was comfortable, and the location was excellent.
There is no long-term parking nearby, so you have to walk a bit from the paid parking lot. Upon arrival, there were many little flies hovering around in the room (the windows were open). After shooing them all out, however, we did not have any more problems with them.
Place was spotless, and in superb location, only a stone's throw from the inner harbour one way, and the main car-park the other. Very friendly staff, eager to please. Evening menu wide and inviting, and much cheaper than round the port.
Rooms at the top (3rd floor) are up a very narrow, winding staircase - aching thighs each time you climb! Shower cubicle is extremely small - don't put anything on the floor as once the door is shut you can't bend down to pick it up. Breakfast uninspiring.
Right in the centre of Honfleur. Very pleasant room and modern en-suite shower room - very clean. Good restaurant. Friendly staff.
We had to be patient but eventually had a parking spot right outside the hotel - 8 euros for 24 hours.
friendly staff good food
small attic room lots of stairs no lift
The location was excellent and the rooms were clean and well kept. Bathroom was super fresh.
We sometimes had difficulties finding the room since it was hidden behind a windling staircase with many twists and turns. Did not have breakfast since it was overpriced. Very small window No minibar
Friendly helpful staff
Central location, comfortable beds and nice breakfast
No tea or coffee making machines, no hair dryer and shower towels could be larger.
Location was great and staff friendly and helpful even with out lack of French. Everything was clean and menu in restaurant was good and reasonably priced
Our room although reasonable was rather dark and at the top of windy narrow stair. It was OK for one night even though for anyone less fit it mightprove harder than it was for us - we are not fit.
