Very friendly and helpful staff Room bit tiny but clean Fridge and hear dryer in room. Good wi-fi Fresh squished orenge juice for brekfast. Metro very close to the hotel. Cheap local shop nearby.
If you travel by car make sure you book car park. There is only 5 spaces. Bathroom door not soundproof at all.
room is small
every thing was fine
no air conditioning
Nice location close to Parisian life. 150 meters to Metro. Lots of restaurants and supermarket around. Friendly and helpful staffs
Really near to metro station, really nice and staff friendly.
Its a little bit full of people in the place is located at night but it is safe.
Security, night staff friendliness , location , rooms ,
The location, close to metro and bus stops. More or less clean. Free wi-fi
Old hotel, needs renovation. Rather loud at night, the room was hot. The internet connection asks for authentication every 5mins and you have to re-register every 24hours.
Easy to get to from the metros. Staff spoke enough English to meet our needs. Rooms were a good size and we had a bathroom which included a shower and bath which were nice. Delicious bakery across the road which we visited every day. Old fashioned decor but it was very cute and suited the building.
No elevator so we had to carry our bags up a staircase.
This hotel has character, its well run and comfortable. There are many good mid range restaurants near. The nearest metro station is Pere Lachaise and access across the city is easy and rapid.
The location was close to the metro. The neighbourhood was lively and diverse. The staff were helpful.
Could have used air conditioning- it was hot that week in Paris. Found the bathroom a bit small.
The staff were very friendly - we managed to get by with a combination of French and English. Very clean rooms and bathrooms, quite small but we needed nothing bigger.
Everything except the stairs
The hotel is an old house turned into a hotel, which normally is a bad thing, but the rooms where really good, nice and comfortable. The location was good, well served by metro and also good if you need to park your car
The staff only spoke french, but they tried their best to understand in other languages.
The position: even if far from the centre, it is near the metro, convenient to reach Gare du Nord, Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe. Really characteristic hotel.
The cleanliness, not so excellent. A bit noisy in the evening because they are singing in the hotel hall. It needs renovation. For the price I expected something more, but afterall it's OK for a weekend city trip.
Cozy place, friendly staff, nothing fancy but great location (50 m from subway station) good value for money overall.
no bedlight or night stand, light in "bathroom area" (consisting of sink + bidet, for some reason..) was broken, place could use a lick of paint but cleanliness was fine and good value for money.
I loved the spa bath, perfect after a hard day's sightseeing. The bar was small and friendly and had a great jazz band on the Friday night. I would certainly go again.
The bed was very hot, I think this was due to the waterproof cover on the mattress.
Near a Metro stop, but found the bus at the same location as the Metro stop, bus 96 took us very near Notre Dame without the stairs the Metro has. Bed was comfortable. The hotel commentates jazz music and has live performances occasionally. This happens in the same room which does duty as lobby, bar and breakfast room. Being in the same neighborhood that Edith Piaf came from, and with the Efith Piaf museum close by, it was nice to be in a not-high powered tourist spot. The room was clean, small and basic, with private bath. Not all rooms have that.
Creaky hallway, could hear other guests walking, talking, doors etc. We didn't need it, but in hot summer the room would need air conditioning.
Close to the subway. Clean bed.
Room really small, Smelly and small bathroom. Staff not very friendly and not very helpful.
The people in hotel was friendly and polite.
It was terrible hotel , there was 52 steps , and we carried our lauggage by ourselves to 3th floor and turn over it without elavator or any help. They haven't even cheese for brakfast , we paid 8 or 10 Euro for breakfast just for small jam and pices of breads and tea. I will never go there again.
Good location close to Metro with some nice places to eat nearby
No remote control for TV and the hairdryer didn't work (and neither did the replacement)
The woman at the front desk
We searched for hotels in the Bastille area and this hotel appeared. Very misleading
The room was clean and convenient.the shared bathroom and shower also.the stuff really helpful and polite.the area has metro station really close and it's very easy to transfer yourself.i would go again.
- Bedroom was spacious and the automatic blind made it easy to let in or shut out light as needed. - Safe was a useful addition to the room and electronic capability meant that we felt as if our belongings were very secure. - Staff were friendly - Metro station was close by
- The room got too hot at night. - The bed was too hard and we were only provided with one pillow each - The bathroom didn't seem very user-friendly. The shower wasn't able to go particularly warm (let alone hot) and when my partner used the shower she said it was luke-warm to cold. - There was not enough space between the toilet and the wall in order to be able to use it properly, and a lot of the time one had to sit sideways on the seat. - Despite flushing the toilet, there was also always an unpleasant smell which seemed to come from the drains in the bathroom at the beginning of each morning and after we returned from a day out. - The provided towels they weren't big enough and the hooks provided to hang them on to dry them didn't work particularly effectively. - There was no cupboard in the room in order to store our clothes so we had to keep them in our case. Instead we were only given two hangers.
I think I got what I paid for. Basic hotel with no frills. I appreciated being able to gain access late at night with my electronic room key, without the need to call someone from reception. Free wifi worked fine too
I would appreciate a shower on each floor, and not simply a shared toilet. I didn't have breakfast there, so I cannot judge the quality, but it's at an additional cost anyway (as per my booking)
