Maison Richet is located just a 2-minute walk from the beach in Sables-d’Olonne. This 19th Century hotel features a patio with a fountain and a shared lounge with a selection of books.
Score from 165 reviews Very good
The location, the attentiveness of the owners, the warm welcome, the generous breakfast, secure parking, the décor itself is a cross between a museum and a craft fair and provided inspiration and ideas. Value for money.
The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. Our room, although smallish was well designed and appointed and shower room, too. The hotel is in a back street and streets are narrow but you have to put up with this in seaside towns. There was private parking although a bit of a squeeze to get into but fine. Breakfast was good, too.
Lovely rooms, nicely decorated and really clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful in recommending a nearby restaurant which we tried and was good. Breakfast good, with nice variety, would definitely stay again. Secure parking is tight to get into but we managed and it was good that the option was available
The breakfast was well displayed and offered a good choice and sensible price
Entrance/exit to car park. Very tight
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Really nice rooms, with enough space and a very big bathroom. Each room has it's own theme, very funny and special. Typical for the punctuality of the owners. Also relaxed that they had private parking places (not for big cars).
The care taken over the appearance of all the rooms. The breakfast was very good. The location was a quiet street but very close to the port and they gave us a safe place to store our bikes overnight.
Nothing at all
Very well kept "boutique" style hotel super ambiance Very helpful Central location but quiet Secure place for our bikes
Nothing to dislike
An original hotel with great welcome. Amazingly clean considering the amount of decoration everywhere
Very clean - room was well equipped Good location
No lift. Parking on the road- rather a narrow road on which to park.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, the décor of the rooms, the petit dejeuner is excellent, the quiet position yet with easy access to restaurants, shops, the beach etc. We have stayed at Les Embruns a few times now and hope to stay again in the future.
At this hotel there is nothing to dislike!
The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was handy to restaurants and the boat to the city centre which came every few minutes.
The room wasn't soundproof. We could hear everything happening in the room next door. The parking was incredible tight. We had only millimetres to spare when parking in the carpark and people parked on the street both days stopping us from entering or leaving when we wanted. I would recommend parking on the street to ake sure that you could come an go as you please.
The hotel was very clean, and had a wonderful "quirky" look. The rooms were individually decorated, so repeat visits will not make it seem like you are in the same place. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was ample. Will use again.
The streets around the hotel are very narrow, and parking at the hotel limited, but there is ample free parking nearby if you don't mind a two minute walk.
