Warm welcome , comfortable room and good food in a nice setting - would stay again.

Very friendly staff. Very clean and quiet.Good breakfast.

The stairs are rather stiff.

Charming country inn. Owner encouraged us to speak some Frnech, but quickly helped out in English when we got into trouble. The dinner was the best of our trip. Wonderful food and ambience

An excellent small and friendly hotel, where everything has been thought through. Rooms beautifully furnished, with good bathrooms. The meals are expertly presented with a delicious breakfast and quite outstanding menu for dinner which was a real holiday highlight. A tranquil retreat in a country setting with much of interest to visit nearby (Avallon,Vezelay, Fontenay).

Well run hospitable small hotel with Claire the star turn small rooms as to be expected but such a nice welcome we ate in their restaurant and had fine meal complemented by excellent breakfast we all enjoyed our brief visit and agreed that thsi would be fine place for exploring Burgundy

Comfortable well decorated room with a large modern bathroom, very good shower. Excellent evening meal on a pleasant outside terrace. Generous breakfast with homemade jam and honey. Friendly staff. A good place for a stopover.

The wine list is rather expensive, but probably to be expected on the wine route - as the other costs are very reasonable, it is a bit out of proportion. They could consider offering some cheaper house wines for the less discerning!

Location in a very small town with no facilities. Nearest restaurant is about 15km away, and the hotel's restaurant was closed.

Owner and staff could not do enough to make our stay memorable, room and hotel spotless, all food in hotel was very good, i would recomend this hotel to all.

We really liked the personal attention we got from the staff and the owner of the hotel.We really felt welcome.The restaurant was right beneath our window,but the sounds(no noise)stopped at an acceptable time,so we didn't have any problems sleeping.

Superb welcome, Friendly staff. Great food. Would definitely use again. This time was an overnighht stay-we would like to return and stay longer at the hotel and in the area.

We had dinner both days and each was excellent. I strongly suggest you consider dining at the hotel.

This is a lovely hotel. We really enjoyed out stay. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant ( the husband of the landlady is the chef) is magnificent. Prices are well bellow what one would expect for that kind of gourmet food, three course menus start at 19 Euros. Here we had both one of our finest and cheapest dinners during our three week trip. The rooms are nice, clean and tastefully decorated. However, the real reason this hotel is worth a detour is the great kitchen.

from the moment we arrived - we were made to feel very welcome - the rooms were spotless - food extremely high quality - in fact a wonderful stop off for our journey from Paris to the south of france

2 points - the taps in the bathroom we found difficult to understand how they worked and it would be nice to have a kettle and few teabags/coffee making facilities

Charming hotel in a lovely village close to fascinating Avallon. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden. Our host spoke excellent English and the menus included an English translation, a great help. The food was lovely. Parking was easy and we enjoyed an evening stroll through the village and along the river. Would definitely stay here again if travelling through the area.

Best French hotel we've ever stayed at. Excellent value for money. Gorgeous bed and duvet. Very clean. Service and food excellent. Breakfast far better than any other French hotel we've stayed at. Can't recommend it higher.

The best 2-star hotel we ever seen. My wife said that it was better than some 4-star hotels. Perfect rooms, extremely quiet and comfortable, enough space in room. The friendliest staff and good restaurant with good and free parking. Only one what could be an issue - there is no elevator in hotel, but hotel staff always helps you with your luggage, so - we was absolutely happy. And when we checking out the madam from reception gift to my wife a small bunch og flowers... We want to go to this hotel again.
