Nice accommodation if you want peace and quiet and your own place to enjoy the Camargue. Close to Arles and the Alpilles.
Neighbours smoked late at night outside on our shared terrace. Fires burning in fields for a few days and all my clothes and the room smelled of smoke.
Pool was nice, Sofa bed was comfortable.
Parking was a long way from room, dishwasher was smelly, Mold in coffee machine, Door lock was broken.
very nice apartment; good value for money
* Proximity to Arles * Lots of activities * Resort setting
Air conditioning was down for the entire resort, forcing us to keep windows wide open at night. The mosquitoes were unbearable. My dogs escaped out the patio door. Thankfully they went to our car and waited for us. They clearly couldn't wait to leave. We asked for a fan, and we got a floor fan, which was nice. However, it was delivered unassembled in a store box. Assembly was indeed required.
This place is poor and I don't recommend it. Pool was very dirty. Room air conditioner broken. I booked a room for 4 people but they only gave me towels for 3. When I asked for another towel, they wanted to charge me for it. In a 3 week visit in France and Italy, this was the worse place that we stayed.
This is an older sports resort and fairly outside of city limits out down a country road. Not much at all to the facilties ad air conditioning not good. I would recommend staying in city.
Bathroom was tiny. We were in an apartment designed for up to 6 adults, but there was only one bathroom and it was very small. The TV was also very small though the living area was quite spacious. A new dishwasher was installed but the tap behind it was not turned on. I had to pull the d/w out, turn the tap on and then use it. There was a bunk bed right in the entrance foyer (and right opposite the bathroom) - very poor location. Location, a few minutes outside Arles, is good for a long vacation (a full week or more). We stayed only 2 nights with sight seeing nearby and it was not ideal for that. There is no regular housekeeping and reception closes at 10 PM. Also, there are actually 2 companies that manage different apartments in the same location. This was very confusing as the phone number mentioned in Booking.com is for a different company - Village Camarguais - than the one we booked - Les Hameaux de Camarague. The reception areas for both are also in the same building. The location is close to/in a swamp region so be prepared for lots of bugs around dusk.
The place is isolated. When you arrive it seems like you are entering a run-down army barracks from the 70's. The artificial lakes do nothing to improve the impression this place gives you of a delapidated structure. It only the benefits the mosquitoes. On entering our bungalow, despite having recently referbished the interior, we found it to be filthy. Pubic hair around the bath was the iceing on the cake. AVOID THIS PLACE.
Lots of space for the price.
A bit run down, yard maintenance not kept up, pool area grimy.
Location Kitchen facilities
It looks there are many facilities: swimming pool, tennis courts, etc
The beds weren't made. There were two single beds that weren't attached to any wall so we couldn't keep them together. Also, the appartment is hard to find and far from town. I think this appartment is only ideal if you want to relax for a while.
Charming quiet chalet with view of field; nice swimming pools; unexpectedly rural very close to centre of Arles; ample, clean space for 3 adults; very well equipped modern kitchen.
Unclear instructions re self-cleaning of apt (which was not required in the end); otherwise very pleasantly surprised by this unexpected find. (Need car to get to it).
