“Can highly recommend this B&B. Our room was clean, light and airy with a very comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. It is in a central position in the village and offers very good value for money.”

Nice location, nice bedroom and furniture Check-in - Hotel was closed when we arrived late afternoon Friday. Notice on Door asking that we check-in at an adjacent Hotel - no problem for us, as we speak some French, but would have been a real problem for someone who did not understand French, as nobody was available at Hotel until 6pm. Menu was not as varied as we were led to expect from previous Reviews. We chose not to have Breakfast in the Hotel as it was expensive.

Beutifull chocolate box village , well worth seeing. The hotel is well situated , good clean comfortable room & bathroom. Food was excellent, and staff were polite and discreet , although I would advise you to brush up on your language skills, as English speaking here is scarce. Very quiet location, great for a short break . Village is very old, quirky, and is well serviced with high end shops, restaurants, and cafes. Well worth a vist. Reception is in the dining room. Try and arrive before 19.00, and avoid this problem.

Very attractive and friendly small country hotel in what must be one of the most unspoiled villages of Northern France. A real pleasure to stay here.

A charming small french town from medieval days with this small comfortable hotel placed along the narrow main street. It has a very affordable dining room that serves a wide variety of crepes and a few other non-crepe items. The village is a wonderful weekend destination with places to ramble. Narrow outside staircase was the only access to guest rooms- not suitable for anyone with balance or knee problems!

The evening meal was excellent and the general olde-worlde charm was pleasing. Nice cat! I was disappointed to be in the attic room which, incidentally, is not included in the brochure. It has no view and does not compare with the other first-floor rooms. I would advise customers to check which room they are booking and I now realise I should have done so.

Very charming old hotel in the beautiful and peaceful village of Lyons-la- forét. Friendly and welcoming staff. We were lucky to have a big familyroom even if we were only 2. Lovely French breakfast. Stayed for 6 days. Lovely walks and visits to castles. Went on daytrips to Paris, Giverny and Rouen. Enjoyed good food and drink in the hotel restaurant and in 3 other restaurants in the village. We'll be back! U&d from Norway/England

The room and service, and the location The food in the restaurant was not particularly good. The galettes were boring, particularly the dessert which consisted of a gallette with a smudge of chocolate sauce and a spray on cream. I would recommend the hotel for accommodation, but not for food

The location of the hotel is good, near the center of the city. The tiny city worth visiting. I didnt like stayng at the attic, the room was very hot, there wasnt any windows to refresh the room and to a mature couple it was hard to climb many stairs to reach the room, although they helped us carrying our luggage..Fortunately we stayed there only one night. I also thought the bathroom wasnt clean.Maybe if we had been in another room we had a better opinion of the hotel.

Best avoided! Our room was on 2nd floor. Access up two narrow, steep flights of stairs. No parking, except on street (if you can find place) Had to lug luggage quite a long way. At 70, not good for the health! Room was full of "antique" furniture; in reality, a load of old junk. Breakfast coffee (cafe au lait) was served with cold milk...in France! I don't think so. Restaurants were rubbish and overpriced. Lyons-la-Foret used to be a nice little picturesque villagey place. Not any more. It's now just a rip-off joint. We stayed before 25 years ago) at Hotel Licorne. It was great then and probably still is, but at a very, very hefty price both for lodgings and restaurant.
