The location, the setting, the rooms themselves were all lovely. It is my belief that if we didn't have a small child we would have felt more relaxed and welcome.

The man and woman team who own and run the place were cold and unwelcoming to our two year old so I could not recommend families with young children to stay here.

The location was close to sights in the Loire valley Chenonceau and other castles and beautiful vineyards where you could visit and taste. It was wonderful to arrive via a locked gate and be greeted by the proprietor Jean louis. The gravel drive led to a courtyard surrounded by old stone buildings plans and garden that were perfectly maintained. The decor is an elegant, perfect blend of old and new.The rooms were spacious and looked out into the courtyard. there was a common sitting area off of the guest rooms with a small fridge. The shower and bathroom modern with plentiful hot water. The continental breakfast stated with delicious gourmet prepared coffee. The bread and croissants fresh. yogurt cereal fruit. Jean-Louis was very helpful and knowledgeable. He had maps and brochures and wonderful with suggestions for travel destinations and local restaurants. I can recommend Chambre d'hôte Les Perce Neige without any reservation. Would definitely come again!

We loved the character of the old house, contrasted with the wonderful new and clean bedrooms. The bathrooms reminded of something from an Aman resort. Jean-louis spoke very good English and was super hospitable. Even though the B&B is in the heart of a small town, the enclosed grounds of his property are beautiful and give the place a very relaxing feel--which was much needed after our drive from Paris. The breakfast was excellent and Jean-louis recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner in Vouvray that was only a ten minute drive away. I would recommend Les Perces Neige to anyone looking for a good base for exploring the Loire Valley.

Gorgeous park-like setting. Beautifully restored building with historic charm. Room was immaculate with a modern bathroom and luxurious walk-in shower. Inn keeper was friendly and helpful--provided a good bottle of Vouvray for us to drink in the garden and directed us to Vouvray tasting rooms and cave visits in the area.

We asked for a table for dinner that night.when we arrived we found out that the restaurant had been closed We had to go to a restaurant nearby and incurred taxi fares of £80 for two ten minute journeys What is the point of special requests when these are ignored

Beautiful courtyard and grounds. Secure parking. Very comfortable bed, pleasant room albeit small. Better than average breakfast for Europe with ample coffee and breads. Relatively easy access by car to Vouvray and Amboise. Great value over all. Would consider booking again if in the area.

Not a lot of options for evening dining in town or environs unless you went to Amboise , especially on Sunday. Bathroom noises transferred readily to our room. Otherwise it was quiet.

Wonderfully quaint and quiet. Fabulous breakfast. Excellent assistance from our host.

A car is required. But provided you have one, this is a lovely place to stay.

Fabulous very secure place in a charming wee village near Vouvray. It is very clean with an excellent typical French breakfast and plenty of it. The proprietor is very friendly and great with his knowledge about the history of the place and with suggestions of where to go and what to see in the area. Its position is fantastic for local Loire Valley wineries and eateries.

    wifi marginal in the bedroom.

The owners were very friendly & helpful and the location was perfect for us even though we did not have much time on this occasion to tour around being en route to the UK. We were given a good recommendation for buying some lovely Vouvray wine which we will enjoy. We plab a longer stay next year so we can tour around. Breakfast was excellent.

Although the room was lovely and we slept well we thought the blankets & cover was too heavy. We are used to duvets which keep you warm without the weight of blankets.

The place just feels amazing. Its hard to pinpoint it but something about it makes you feel more at home than in your own home. The entire place feels like its yours the entire time. The breakfasts are absolutely unbeatable - great coffee, amazing bread (multigrain, croissants, whole weat, baguette... name it). The staff are amazing, kind, helpful. Anytime I'm in France I'll come back here.

    I liked it all...

Jean Louise pierc niege After a little hiccup on arrival we were moved to a room in the courtyard. The host/ owner Jean Louise, was extremely hospitable; from providing a good breakfast to laundry services, great local insight into site seeing and terrific eating spots, he was charming and very friendly. He facilitated great social evenings at the Pierc Neige with other guests. We enjoyed our conversations with newly made friends, shared wine and stories and Jean Louise not only joined us but shared from his cellars. We rested well, saw some lovely Chateaux, feasted on incredible French cuisine and overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Recommend and would return. The Internet works well in the lobby area.

Our first night in a room that was v noisy

Lack of facilities to get drinks at anytime, however when the owners were around this wasn't a problem as they would offer drinks

A haven. Lovely room / house. Secure grounds and parking. Well appointed. Hosts were exceptional. Polite. Very well versed in location and fine restaurants and vineyards in area. Wonderful, relaxing stay. Respect that you stay in their home, not a hotel and you'll enjoy THE most memorable time.

Our host was gracious. He recommended awesome restaurants that we would never have found or known about. He also gave us recommendations for nice wineries. The B&B is less than one km away from vineyards of Verne sur Brenne, which is nice for exercise or just a stroll after day of tasting wines. The actual Loire River is a short bike ride away from the B&B, which is nice for swimming, sun-bathing or just being outdoors. I highly recommend this B&B.
