Sarlat Côté Jardin is a 16th-century house located just at the entrance to the medieval town of Sarlat in the Périgord region.

In Sarlat-la-Canéda, the ibis Sarlat Centre is less than half a mile from the medieval area and the train station.

The St Albert Hotel Restaurant is set in Sarlat, just 110 yards from the medieval town. It offers a warm atmosphere in the heart of this city of art and history.
Score from 163 reviews Good

Excellent location Friendly Clean Perfectly functional
A little dated but all the positives totally outweigh this
we arrived in Sarlat late thanks to a train strike and the staff were very helpfull in ordering a taxi for us:
Very helpful staff - thank you Lorraine. We had a great stay in Sarlat and Lorraine very kindly arranged much of our unplanned itinerary. The hotel is close to the medieval centre and very well priced and cleaned daily.
when we arrived, it was indicated that breakfast was included in the price, however on check out we discovered that it was actually another 8.50e per person which we would not have paifd every day had we known that as there were many other establishments which offered a good breakfast for much less.
Great Location for visiting Sarlat and local tourism areas.
Parking off site but not a deal breaker.
Beautiful town, friendly people, good food.
Large comfortable room with large bathroom on street-front 2nd floor. No noise problems from outside (Thursday night off season) and not much inside. The hotel front door is at street level so it's possible to drop off luggage at the door. Good breakfast.
Parking is at a premium in this town and some of the street parking is currently taken up by construction works. Be aware that Friday evening and all day Saturday the street outside this hotel is closed for the market so you wouldn't be able to get so close with luggage then. No facility for making a hot drink.
Although a fairly basic hotel, it is in an excellent location, on the edge of the historic section of Sarlat. Most of the staff speak English (not all) and they were friendly and helpful.
Room was small and the bed was average comfort wise. The bathroom was very basic but clean. However this hotel did offer value for money.
The hotel was right bang in the middle of the town, fantastic restaurants and bars
Very close to the old town area. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.
Noise from corridor was clearly heard in rooms.
Excellent location, right by the historic center. Large, clean, comfortable room. Comfortable breakfast buffet and dining room. Very good value for the money.
They didn't really speak English and wouldn't try to, when asked about it (luckily I speak enough French to get by), and there's no one at the desk before 8:30 AM or after 9 PM (that's their policy) -- so, I had to check out early, and found out in time to check out the night before. Also, they put see-through curtains on the windows, which faced other residential windows across the street. Very weird, and I had to change clothes in the bathroom only.
friendly, helpful staff. comfortable room and good buffet breakfast. excellent location and good value for a last minute reservation. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent position right next to old town, bright, clean room, not the usual French beige/ mustard, very clean pleasant cafe right next door with very cheap coffee and a boulangerie across the road to get your morning croissant in, to eat with the coffee. Some members of staff I met were delightful.
Receptionist on duty when I arrived was extremely abrupt, and inspite of being French, did not seem to have learned the words bonjour, s'il vous plait, or merci. While I stood there she was extremely rude to a telephone caller who obviously did not speak French, snapping twice " ne comprends pas, ne comprends pas. Bye bye" and slammed down the phone. If I hadn't been booked in and tired after a long journey I would have left. Fortunately, the staff I met later were friendly and helpful.
Excellent location with a friendly and competent staff - this is good value for money
Street noisy at times but closed widows at third level solves it
Perfect location, extremely helpful staff.
Room was modest, clean, and comfortable. The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Great location. Just around the corner of the historic city centre, a great place where we spent all of our time.
Very convenient location, clean comfortable rooms. Good bed and linen
Nothing really, but it is a 'no frills' hotel, so for those who want luxury this is not it.
Location Breakfast Staff
Bathroom. The shower was small and there was nowhere to put shampoo, soap etc. This could be fixed with a shelf attached to the wall of the shower above head height. Toilet was too small and knees hit the door, so it had to be left open...and we are not tall people. Noisy at times from street activity.
Proximity to centre Staff helpfulness Clean and comfortAble
Road noise but then we did have the window open so probably didn't help.
The location was excellent being a short walk from centre of the old town. Mini Carrefour just down the street, little park nearby to relax in. Room was small but had all I needed. Bed comfortable. Staff helpful.
Bathroom was a bit cramped but the shower was a good size and worked well. Some noise from other guests on stairs but nothing major. Need to remember own travel kettle and adaptor.
Good for one night stopover. Rooms small and bathroom dated.
Great location with friendly helpful staff. Basic but clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast available.
Don't expect too much from 2* hotel. You will get what you'll pay. The best highlight is Nico (reception) with perfect English and he was very helpful with all kind of recommendations. Sarlat is charming city. Hotel is great located close to everything you must see. Wi-Fi is very good
no parking on site, no AC
The staff was super helpful with all the many requests I made, from arranging a pickup for a kayaking trip to the more typical restaurant recommendations.. I also liked the many extra touches that enhanced the breakfast, such as the delicious fresh walnuts
The people out back who clanged the dumpster doors
hotel excellent for location quiet even though in the centre of town
breakfast was nice but I thought slightly overpriced for what was available. Bathroom basic but clean.
