It is supposedly a once in a lifetime experience to stay on the Mont. Our room faced the rampart wall, not unlike facing a wall in any city. No view of the bay or of the lovely buildings. The room was tiny. We had to leave too early to get the free breakfast that didn't start until 8. Staff had to warm up but were then nice. The room would be a $60 room in the US; it was $170 on the Mont. Tourist trap. |

The hotel is well positioned providing the advantage of being able to experience Mont Saint Michel after the hoards of day-trippers have left. It is fairly basic but comfortable - bathroom if functional though not flash and the bed is comfortable. Cnn is the only english speaking channel. It was fine but just need to be aware that some rooms are in a seperate annex that is up several flights of steps - might be an issue for those with mobility problems but then the whole island would be. Not a problem for us though. There is no air con so we opened the window. As our room was ground level we had intermittent noise from people on the alley. |

Location was good- not too far up the hill to Mont-St-Michel. The hotel was interesting with signed pictures of many famous people who had apparently stayed there over the years. |

Good location which allows you to explore and enjoy Abbey in evening when no people around. Staff at reception English speeking. 1) It was extremely difficult to bring our bag upstairs! The entrance and all rooms are located at the top (no elevator) 2) The room was small and had a very small window with a view to the wall and stairs (at the level of road!), that was very uncomfortable 3) The most rooms are like that and only a few rooms located in another building are indeed the same as presented at foto... |

When touring Europe there are a lot of things that are great to see but the event is dampened by local circumstances. Not so staying at this great hotel, you get to park close to the entrance, in the same parking lot as the local residents. It's only a few hundred meters to your room and as the waters rise the rest of the parking lots empty. It's not a complaint actually but all should be aware that the converted hotel rooms are quite small and there could be several flights of stairs to navigate. Make sure to arrange for portage when you book your room or plan on carrying your luggage up. |

It's location. Mont St. Michel is very commercial, but it's a breathtaking place. Unfortunately, the room smelled of mold. |

Being at Mont St. Michel after all the crowds had left was great. Great location, easy to find and very easy access since you had to carry all your luggage from the causeway parking area. No, the hotel was everything we had anticiapted and more. |

Position They told "village view" on offer. This means you see only a wall and 2 meter of a street on the window, and not the see an perspective view as expected. |

The room was perfect for me. It was large with large bed and large window with excellent view. The entrance of the hotel restaurant is not very challenging. And the inside as well. But services provided were good. |

Mont St Michel is a special destination, full of mystery and history. The hotel was perfect located, in spite of the stairs that you have to climb. Marvelous view from the windows and helpfull staff. I was impressed by the collection of the posters in the halls, that is stateting about the famous people who visited the place. La Mere Poullard is a real quality brand. |

being there after the day tourists went home, the central location I was disappointed in the lack of anything that was typical of the old style of decor , but did like the new bath. |

Excellent access - closest hotel to the entry of the island 1. They tried to shift us to another hotel off the island 1 week before arrival. When we refused, they honored the reservation. 2. The hotel's website is misleading in that the hotel is not associated with the famous restaurant. Travelers who wish to book meals at the famous restaurant need to be specific or the hotel will book you in their restaurant, which has a nice view, but is not special |

The 3-star hotel boasts a tremendous location in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel. La Mère Poulard is housed in a beautiful historical building. |
The inn benefits from a great location, right on the rock, along the main street that leads to the Mont Saint Michel abbey. |
