At the foot of the abbey, the Mouton Blanc Hotel, is in its historic 14th century location. Le Mouton Blanc provides comfortable rooms with a simple yet cozy decoration.
Score from 552 reviews Good
Housed in a historic building, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel. The classic-style rooms overlook the bay, the abbey or the medieval city.
Score from 359 reviews Good
Auberge Saint Pierre is a 15th-century half-timbered house on Mont St. Michel tidal island. It combines the historic charm of exposed beams with modern comforts including TV and free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 382 reviews Very good
Surrounded by lush greenery, just 1.5 miles from Mont Saint-Michel, the Le Saint Aubert hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Everything, starting from the view from my room was amazing
The Wi-Fi was not working from my room
No access to island for residents especially with bags having to walk far
The view of the mount below us and the sea.
Unfortunately, the photos of the rooms are deceiving. While the pictures were clean and updated, the room we stayed in was dirty and musty smelling, there was mold growing in the closet and there was no AC or it didn't work. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel.
I loved staying on the island after the tour groups are herded off. Watching the sun go down, seeing the lights come on - finally heading up to our little room, then waking up in the midieval village was a great experience!
Our room was street side, and the noise on the street started about 5am. Workers, cleaners, delivery trucks - an incredible amount of noise! It's sweet to have a window that looks down on the street, but you'll regret it if you want to sleep past 5 am.
To be able to spend the night on this island was something we will not soon forget. The Abbey and views from the top were breathtaking. View from our room window was also great as were the restaurants and shops.
Our room had an amazing view, as well as a ginormous fireplace with lots of character. The staff was helpful and polite, and you can't beat the location. When dining at La Confiance, which is directly below reception, I cannot recommend highly enough a bottle of the rosé cider (cidre rosé). It was the best cider I've had in all of Normandy (Cave Saint-Michel, sold throughout the warren of gift shops).
The shower lacked a curtain, making bathing a bit of an adventure. An extremely minor complaint, all things considered.
The place is situated on the island, which is really great.
The parking is not free and you have to park literally miles away. Then you have to take the shuttle half-way, only to drag the suitcases another half a mile to the island, and then on up the stone-paved roads to your hotel. In the hotel there is no elevator, and dragging suitcases up the four flights of stairs after dragging them from the bus and then up the walk is not for everyone. If not in perfect shape and have experience carrying suitcases for miles, this is not for you. The lightning is horrid inside the bathroom. 10W light bulb is the only thing that stands between you and poking your eye out in the shower.
The bathroom was not well equiped , the shower was without curtain and some ceramic tiles were broken
The view from Mont St Michel back over the Main Street with the Notmandie plains in the background. The location! This place is right in the middle of the magical island!
The front desk staff were less than helpful in making suggestions and giving information. They didn't seem to be interested in providing service to the guests. The wifi only worked in the lobby, a fair walk from the room.
The web says every room with a view of the sea so I booked it .. We were given a street view room .. Not all rooms have a sea view. I have requested a correction to the website. WiFi difficult to work out how to log in. If you manage that it is set to time out or cut out on load I suspect ..
staff was not friendly. seemed troubled when asked a question. did not have information on events in the town. wi-fi did not work in the room.
Room is somewhat primitive, but not unsanitary.
We got engaged on Le Mont St Michelle! So they placed us in the beautiful attic room with the most spectacular view! Magical View, spacious room and location so central but well sound proofed Clean and comfortable
Over priced breakfast Wifi didn't work in our rooms
The accommodation is in an incredible location, very authentic and very comfortable. Friendly staff made it easy to find and settle in.
The view from the window was the only good thing about this hotel.
The front desk staff required us to wait until exactly 3:00 P.M. for check- in even though the room was ready and the hotel was no where near full. We were promised someone to be available for an early morning check-out, however, no one was there. This is a two star facility with a seven star price tag. The paint on the walls in the room was pealing, the bed outsized the room, you only had 8" between the wall and the bed on one side and 12" before you hit the fireplace on the other side. They boasted Wi-Fi connectivity, however, it did not work even with the front desk's computer. We would not recommend this hotel.
For an overnight stay on Mont Saint Michel your options are fairly limited, so we were not expecting too much. Room was pleasant and everything worked, so it met expectations. What more is there to say?
Noisy. Both outside noises from late night revel ears and interior noise from other rooms.
Location is great
Very basic facilities
The hotel location and its comfort was the most. The hotel restaurant is fabulous with typical food very well served. I recommend this choice for people who are looking for more in the Mont Saint Michel
The Wifi was not working properly
The hotel is located right on the island in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The view from our window was beautiful - overlooking the vast land across us.
Mont saint Michel is very picturesque. Sadly you can see this if you live on the island. If you want the view of the island and the abbey, stay off it. Another thing, we had heavy luggage and carrying that up all those steps was quite a task! And no wifi if you stay in the building away from the reception
Moved to a different facility because of my error on dates- so glad they were able to accommodate us! The building was not great, but the view was! It was a bargain, and adequate for a short stay.
No wi-fi at our location
Absolutely everything. Country setting serene yet very close to Bayeux. We had a car so easy to get around Normandy region. Breakfast fabulous. We had table d'hôte one evening and dinner was very good. We had to leave early (4am) on final day to catch a flight at cdg and Vincent kindly had coffee, juice, fruit, and yogurt out for us.
Nothing; except food so good I think we gained a couple of pounds.
1. Room was not in main building but far up the hill in different hotel. Weird. 2. No Wi-Fi at all in room; with staff saying it only worked in lobby for me. 3. Inflexible no check-in until 4pm.
The view was fantastic and the bathtub did wonders for sore muscles.
The room smelled so musty and mildewy that my nose hurt and I had trouble sleeping. Clearly should not have rented out that room before the renovations were done. On top of that the hairdryer did not work but that was minor compared to the smell. The response of the management was only to ask if I filled out the comment form in the room.
Location is perfect, spacious clean comfortible room with good design in ansient building, big bed, a shower and a bath in the bathroom. In a nutshell: modern comfort with an antient charm.
They didn't send me information for my request about parking (you need to leave your car at the particular parking and have to use special code for it), so I had had to call them. There was a hitch with checking-out, I've booked the room with spesial offer but they confused the bookings and for the first asked full price for the room. Fortunately I had a printed booking and we solved this quickly.
