The building is magnificent dating from 1530 ad. Eugenie is a perfect host. The decor is eclectic and interesting. A very informal comfortable environment. A great breakfast with homemade yogurt and preserves

Very friendly english speaking daughter of the owner welcomed us and showed us around. Property location is very central and amazing architecturally. There are details of the restoration of this property in the lounge which are fascinating and well worth a look. Just around the corner of the restaurants and the river. Would definitely recommend without hesitation!

Loved the location, the old building, the interior conversion, and the welcome.

On road parking and small public car park. That's the price for being in the old town. Not a big problem.

It's very central, for the river and the nicest part of Orleons. Superb ancient house, delightful owner, and very good breakfast

Because the house has an ancient spiral staircase it wouldn't be suitable if you were disabled, but I'd just broken my toe and I managed ok!

It's an eclectic little B&B with only 2 rooms, so you get great service from the owner/manager. We stayed in the second floor room and it was very large with a queen sized bed and a single bed. The shower and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. The decor was really charming and old fashioned but very clean, which is hard to find. Excellent value for the price too!

The staircase was a bit dicey, but I thought it added to the charm! Plus the owner/manager said we could leave the bags for her to take up, so I assume there is a lift of some kind.

We stayed overnight on our way home. We were warmly welcomed, breakfast was lovely. Fresh croissant, rolls, home made yoghurt and fresh fruit. 5 mins from centre. The whole place was like a well loved museum. A memorable place!

Nothing! Even the staircase was stunning but I appreciate it isn't for the disabled.

Our hostess was warm and very welcoming. The 500 year old mill has been lovingly resorted into a very special guesthouse with much charm and character. A steep narrow spiral staircase leads guests up to the bedrooms and breakfast/reading room. Our hostess was very helpful and insisted on carrying our luggage up the stairs. The guesthouse is situated a few minutes walk into the centre of Orleans. It is a beautiful historic French town and well worth a visit. Our hostess made a few suggestions of nearby restaurants and it came in handy after exploring the town.

A very historic building built in the 16th century located in downtown Orleans. The quadruple room, with a loft area, was perfect for our family of four. Breakfast was fresh and ample. It was a short 5-10 min walk to the center of old Orleans and the main restaurant and shopping area. As mentioned on the web listing and therefore not a negative in my opinion, the spiral staircase was steep and narrow.

Although WiFi was available in the breakfast area, it was nearly unusable in the room, do the room is outfitted with a wired connection. This is not a reasonable alternative given most people travel with mobile devices not capable of using a wired connection. This could be easily converted to a wireless hotspot.

Lovely old building with lots of beams and character. Charming hostess. Right in the middle of town, so lots of nearby bars and eating houses. Parking very limited but managed to get the motorcycle outside.

    Nothing.

Beautiful refurbished 500 years old building. Rebuilt an rearranged with tasteful eclectic objects collected during the years in flea markets antique shops and auctions. Personally my wife and I were enchanted.

The staircase, although old is not very comfortable.

The hotel was beautiful and very French. We felt truely welcomed and were sad to leave, hope to visit again soon and stay for longer. The girls loved the mezzanine floor and we even got used to the spiral staitcase!

We loved this old house! It has been beautifully renovated to retain it's character and original features - including a narrow wooden spiral staircase. If you prefer qualities of Campanile or Premier Inn this is not for you, but we enjoyed the simple quirky furnishings and rustic corners of our room. Breakfast was delicious served in another charming room AND classical music. Eugenie was the perfect hostess and for 2- 3 nights this was a perfect find! If one arrives after 18.00 there is no problem with parking either and we felt it was excellent location for the river, the old town and restaurants. The top floor room is not for people with large heavy luggage (although there is masses of space when you reach the room!) or for anyone with tiny children or disability. We look forward to our next visit, maybe not in a hot summer when the top floor might be a bit airless??

A beautifully and tastefully refurbished old house! When we arrived we were truly amazed by this centrally situated ancient house, spotlessly clean, the room comprising of two levels (our four-year-old daughter exclaimed in delight "a princess room!"). In the morning our graceful host was awaiting with a delicious breakfast which included fresh croissants and French pastries to order, a selection of home-made marmalades, juice, copious quantities of coffee, the whole served in yet another spacious living room/dining room complete with a full bookcase and couches for a tranquil guide-book read... Truly a delightful experience that gave our visit to the beautiful town of Orleans a unique flavour!

The central staircase is a bit narrow, but with the help of our hostess everyone navigated it with no problems!

Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we stepped inside this beautifully restored 16th Century French guest house we felt at home. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and delightfully decorated. Eugenie was the perfect host, bringing us hot tea in the evening and preparing for us a deliciously healthy breakfast consisting of fresh fruit salad, home made yogurt, cereal, warm croissants, baguettes and hot coffee. It was a wonderful experience I am so glad I booked this accommodation. Thank you so much.
