The hotel was friendly and comfortable but a bit stiff, especially the restaurant - a little bit living in a monastery - but nice

    The location

The hotel has deteriorated terribly in the last decade. The food that was great is now very poor. Service in the restaurant has declined. Bedrooms stank of smoking although it is banned. A sadreturn visit that will not be repeated.

Beautiful house and surroundings, ok value for money.

Ate at the restaurant, really bad. Make pretence to be a high quality restaurant but they knew nothing of quality cooking.

Room better than expected-A/c and lots of power points. Great view from the room and terrace in the evening of thunderstorms over the Morvan

Restaurant on the expensive side -but did enjoy the food.

Beautiful setting in the middle of the historic old town of Autun which is well worth a visit. Lovely courtyard garden at the other side of the hotel/restaurant with country views where you can sit outside for your meal. Breakfast was O.K. although some fresh fruit salad would have been appreciated. Dogs are welcome.

Dinner in the restaurant although served with a lot of "chi-chi" was mediocre.

Views were great, food was lovely, stAff very helpful.

No beer brun. Scrambled eggs were poor, sausages not very nice (lumps of bone in them)

Excellent location: very quiet and beautiful view Nice rooms with a marvellous garden view, though not very spacious. Fine and innovative cuisine

Very poor service at the restaurant: We had to search for our waiter and were able to place an order only after 30 minutes of waiting. The first course of our three-meals course was then served after an hour. When we complained about the slow service, we were told that there was not sufficient staff, but guests usually would enjoy the beautiful view while waiting. Our three-course meal lasted almost 4 hours. We had hoped to enjoy breakfast in the beautiful garden. Instead, the breakfast buffet was installed in a room without view. The restaurant staff clearly needs to develop a customer orientation.

Really nice old building, close to the cathedral and with a wonderful view. Delicious food in the restaurant.

No shampoo or shower gel Problems with the A/C Breakfast (and especially the coffee) could be improved.

We stayed at Les Ursulines twice in May-June 2014. The first time we were in room 236 which is large, with room to spread out. It is light and airy and everything worked. It was so good that we decided to book into Les Ursulines on our return trip. This time we were put into room 206 which is small, cramped, dark and inconvenient. There is hardly room to walk around the bed, one of the lights didn't work and the shower is very inconvenient. Our advice is to avoid rooms 201 to 209 (although I have only looked into three of them) and go for rooms starting 236. They are all the same price. The restaurant is good although the service is a little slow. The staff are excellent: The only let-down is, as I have said, the cramped rooms around 206. Otherwise it is a very pleasant hotel to stay in.

Restaurant was excellent Location was superb

WiFi did not work in our room; we had to go downstairs two floors to the reception to be connected. When we arrived the bathroom wasn't clean; we had to complain to get it properly cleaned

    Location Nice room

Narrow corridors, need to be redone. Breakfast could be better, is served in an uncomfortable room, whereas they have a nice restaurant.

Lovely building in a really interesting historic small city full of great restaurants. Within a stone's-throw of the marvellous Cathedral.

Room seem to been part updated...some furnishings were a bit "tired" and we were aware of building works in progress. Breakfast was very ordinary and was overpriced at 12 euros.

The wonderful view, the fresh air, the short walk to the Cathedral and historic area.

The room was in need of refurbishment. I think rooms are being renovated but perhaps some guests get the short straw. We were only there for one night and had dinner in the square by the Cathedral, leaving reasonably early the following day.

Easy to find if you followed the signs, delightful location and with air conditioning in rooms. Handy for local bars and restaurants if you chose not to eat in. Lovely peaceful and calm atmosphere

Tiny shower, though rooms are being upgraded and maybe we got an older one.
