The Hameau des Issambres is in the heart of a 37 acre estate planted with a mixture of Mediterranean trees, between the hills and the garrigue scrubland.

The complex, built in traditional Provençal style with old Roman tiles, ochre facades, balusters and arches, consists of 3 buildings with 2 or 3 floors, all set around a large swimming pool.

The residence is appropriate for young children as it features a playground, a wading pool and gardens. Plenty of activities for children ages 6 to 10 years old are organized during the French school vacation.

The public sand and pebble beaches are located in Sainte-Maxime or Les Issambres, only a few miles away.

A free shuttle service is available to and from the sandy beach from mid-June to mid-September.

Please note that the swimming pool is not heated and not supervised. It is open from mid-April to mid-September.

A baby kit, suitable for children under 2 years weighing less than 15 kg, is available in the apartment. The kit includes: 1 cot with 1 bed sheet, 1 high chair for infants from 6 months old, 1 changing mat and bathtub, 1 pushchair.

Anonymous Family with older children United Kingdom August 25, 2011	The holiday village is located about two and a half miles up a winding mountain road with no footpath which meant that it was impossible for the family to walk to the beach or shops, bars and restaurants. The free shuttle bus also serves other hotels and was always full when it arrived at our hotel, which was disappointing after our family and others had stood waiting with our beach bags in the searing heat at the bus stop only to be told we couldn't have a ride on the hourly bus service ! Parking down near the beach was very tricky to find. The private beach is tiny, sunbeds cost 18 euros to hotel guests and have to be booked in advance ! There was no shop, restaurant, bar or facilities other than a nice swimming pool and table tennis and tennis at the holiday village and nowhere nearby to walk to. You could feel quite 'cut-off' unless you love self-catering and lying by the pool. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful, did you?	4.6
