The staff and surroundings were great. The pool and jacuzzi opening times were slightly restrictive (opened after breakfast) and the sauna was out of order.

I am very sorry, but I cannot recommend this "hotel" for business travellers. It is outright shabby.

ambience of room very nice person at check-in location near station only hand shower in bath - no overhead shower waiter at restaurant was not attentive - only when we insisted wine which was on wine menu was not available so we had no choice but to drink the hotel brand wine, which was not from the region. food was not as good as expected breakfast cafe au lait was not available from machine

When arriving on the first day at around 07:45 I was able to have a free breakfast there. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful regarding directions for getting around the area. The room was very comfortable, except that the bed's mattress springs were not sufficiently padded so this made the bed a bit uncomfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. The breakfast was dreadful. The croissants tired and the coffee really unpleasant. We actually left half way through and went to a cafe opposite.

Apart from its proximity to the sncf French Railways station at Carcassonne, there was absolutely nothing to recommend this hotel. The hotel tried to be pretentious and failed miserably. It was scruffy throughout and appeared to have last been 'modernised' in the 1950s. There were draconian 'rules' - no arrivals before 5.pm, and to be out of the room by 10.am. Prompt. The breakfast room gets grossly overcrowded. The hotel is outrageously overpriced. The staff tried to do their best against the odds. Despite double-glazing the rooms are noisy, day and night, as the main road to Toulouse passes outside the hotel. On the 'plus' side, the beds were comfortable and the air- conditioning was adequate.

Its location was ideal very close to the railway station, Canal du Midi and the centre of the town. Service at breakfast tended to be somewhat disorganised. They didn't have enough tables for every guest. As a single traveller I suffered the usual problem of finding my table had been commandeered by other guests when I returned to it after replenishing, for example, my coffee cup.

We choose the hotel for its location, which was good, but rest of stay was poor. It was difficult to pull up outside hotel, had to queue for ages at front desk then renegotiate one-way system to find oublic car park as they'd lost our request for car parking. Room was not what we asked for, staff generally unhelpful. Not enough towels - again handed over grudgingly. Breakfast was a scrum and not great. Boys enjoyed the pool but only gave it 3/10 compared to 10/10s elsewhere on our trip. Over- priced and poor - would not stay again.

The fact that the hotel tried to cancel my reservation and I had to insist they give me a room. Too long a wait at check-in. The key system which did not work properly. The short opening hours of the swimming pool. The warning that an inventory of linen would be carried out, suggesting that we might steal the greyish towels.

The Terminus is situated very near the station, a taxi rank , the canal du midi for boat trips and bike hire , shopping, cafes and a tourist info booth. The hotel itself has been renovated in the La Belle Epoch style but the services offered are very limited. The rooms vary greatly in size . Great for a couple of nights stay ( lots of coach tour operators use it), but not for a fortnight's holiday. Not enough personnel on at reception. No extra services eg. excursions offered.

Close to city center attractions Reception curt. Interior looked like it hadn't been re-looked since the 1920'S. Room very small (a "^family" room was the size one would expect of a norma double -- only differnece, an extra bed. Bathroom in urgent need of repainting.

The old hotel hall was impressive, It really needs a deep restoration. The door of the bathroom did not close, the towels had a nasty odor, many parts of the room were broken, the swimming pool was horrible. It is very far from the old city of carcassone.

We book the Hotel for its position to the Town and the railway station. The decor in the Hotel was very much in need of attention. The room was very basic and the toilet smelt, the pillows on the bed were old and very uncomfortable. Lucky we booked a superior room!!!. If we had been staying for more than one night we would have left. Very poor value for money.

Unacceptable hotel. Old rooms, ugly furniture, extremely small beds, no sound isolation in the room walls. The piscine and sauna are open 09:00 - 12:00 and 14:00-19:00. You need to reserve a slot for the sauna! The breakfast costs 14 euros per person, it is one of the most disgusting breakfast I have ever eaten.

Central location, about sums it up. Might have been a great hotel once upon a time. Shabby, poorly furnished rooms with very uncomfortable beds and sub-standard bathrooms. Breakfast poor.

Restaurant staff that fill in for the front desk were helpful. Regular staff of 1 or 2 people at a time for the entire hotel (no maids) were horrible. The women at the front desk forgot to put pillow cases on our pillows. I asked for them after check in around 4 pm and still did not receive them at midnight! That is not the sole reason for my review however. This said women might be the rudest person I have ever met. Her male counterpart is slightly better, but if I worked with her I would be miserable as well. Avoid this hotel like the Plague.

Good Location and magnificent building in need of updating May a mess of our reservation and we had to wait until someone else agreed to change rooms with us, Also for some reason unknown to me someone phoned up my home in Brazil during the night to say that the reseravation had been cancelled when in fact we were already in the hotel.

It is centrally located and is a wonderful traditional building with a lot of nice features The customer service was very disappointing particularly when we had a problem with the key card and lack of towels in the room. The superior room is not worth the extra cost.

Very good location for the 'new' city and restaurants, easy, cheap parking nearby and the Petit Train for the old Cité. Next to the park for the free concerts during July & August so a bit noisy in the front,

Leaving No check in until 1700 hours.Having to pay at the start of the stay. Poor bathroom facilities (no overhead shower, inadequate sink drainage, dirty towels). Noisy room at night. And to cap all this the receptionist tore up the envelope containing their comments form which we were asked to fill in.

The hotel has lots of character and charm and is perfectly located for the station and the delightful Canal du Midi area of Carcassonne. The check-in staff were brilliant with a warm welcome (in English!) and lots of information about the town. Plenty of space in bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Very clean. To enjoy the buffet breakfast you have to go down early. The restaurant is grossly understaffed and those on duty are fully occupied just clearing tables. Consequently, those arriving later for breakfast, having queued to get in, found virtually nothing left on the buffet tables which were never replenished on any of the days we were there. A shame, because the food was good! Also, our bed was old and uncomfortable.
