Hotel has a fabulous reception area that imbued a feeling of a hotel and area that once had more glorious days, still a great location alongside the canal which offers a nice outdoor spot for a glass of wine or beer. Hotel is really good value and is perfect for weekend break and/or destination spot for Ryanair arrivals/departures. |

the hotel is a very short walk across the river from the train station and the famers market as well. it is a short drive or reasonable walk to the carcassonne castle. it has great old world charm and has been kept to a very nice but not luxurious standard. very nice breakfast. the dinner menu looked good but we ate at the castle. if it is available book a corner room. |

It is central, has a bar and restaurant. Yes, my room overlooked a very busy street and it was hard to sleep at night with all the noise. They need to do something about this. |

There was nothing we liked about this Hotel. Having booked a superior Room..ALL rooms the same..Bathroom very small and very basic.. Towels disgusting.. GREY.. worn Thread thin. No Bath Rail for a feeble person to Aid them up out of the Bath. On the whole it was very disappointing having enjoyed a wonderful week along the Coast. |

The decor, the hotel has a very beautiful Belle Epoque style interior. It's also located rather centrally (approx. 20 min. walking frrom the Cité). The food is good and the prices are moderate (it's in France you know). It was sometimes a little bit dirty; they should clean a bit more often. |

We particularly liked the architecture of the building. The staff worked extremely hard, were very pleasant and were multi-lingual on Reception. We had rather dreaded opting for demi pension when we learned evening meal was buffet style (but there was an additional choice of menu - a la carte etc). This was totally unfounded as the variation and choice was exceptional. The balustrades on the balcony were in a poor state of repair ~ beautiful but crumbling! Don't go to the old city thinking the "120 arts & crafts shops within its walls" are of any quality ~ it's all cheap tourist souvenirs. |

There wasn`t any thing I liked at this hotel. There`s nothing to say positively. The stuff is poorely English speaking, they don`t want to help you with your requests. Instead of room with double bed they gived us a room with twin bed. For all my requests they answered "We cannot do anything". The room and bath were full of hairs. Chairs are old, with holes in the dressing. A lot of broken things - chair, lamp etc. |

The hotel is beautiful, all art-deco from the early 20th century. The rooms, even my "regular" room [I did not reserve a "superior" room.] was a nice size, with high ceilings and a bath tub [often in France, there is only a shower.] The staff were helpful. Also, for me, the hotel was well-located, proximate to the train station, but also within a nice 10-15 minute walk to the medieval city. I did not like how so many things cost extra -- I did not expect a 3 star hotel to operate in this fashion. The pool and sauna are very nice, but cost 10 euros per day; the wifi costs 5 euros per hour. These services should be included or should be much cheaper than they are. Also, the furniture could have been sturdier. |

The hotel is a beautiful building there is a lovely swimming pool and sauna in the hotel. The front desk staff are nice but the restuaurant staff were awful and had very bad manners everything was a big deal for them to do. |

Room size and view great, worth paying extra for this. Staff very helpful, gave us a map with the sights marked clearly in ink on arrival without request. Helpful with directions and advice on where to dine. Cannot understand some of the negative reviews I read beforehand. |

Staff, Foyer, pool table, history of the hotel. Breakfast could have been included for the price, rooms were a bit dated but adequate, a little noisey, restaurant a bit pricey |

The setting is wonderful. Beautiful and characterful. The rooms were perhaps not as comfortable as the price suggests and so would recommend it is maybe expensive. I paid for a "superior" room and only got a standard. I asked for double beds and got single beds. This was a disappointment, as we were on a romantic weekend. |
