The room was freshly decorated. There was no pressure from the staff. Friendly without being oppresive. The stairways were being carpeted and were not being cleaned.

This hotel was much better than expected. No noise problems, modern fittings, comfortable beds, hd tv in room, free wifi, good security, heating, bath.

I liked the good quality-price ratio and the position very close to the metro and rer station. The room was clean and the private bathroom was large enough. The walls have just been painted and you could smell it.

Simple, yet perfectly clean, functional and quiet ! Not a really pretty area. But don't let it stop you, as it is close very close to the metro line 11 and therefore you can be out of the area very quickly.

The bathroom is clean and better equiped. The room is a little bit small and dark. Though it is near the Metro station, still takes a long time to reach the downtown.

The hotel is very quaint and French. The room is very small and noisy. We were on the street side and could hear traffic all night. It is not located in a good part of town. I would not recommend it.

We stayed one night at Lilas Gambetta when returning to Paris, before heading home. The hotel was only a short walk from the metro station, although it didn't appear to be the nicest area (compared to the Paris hotel we had stayed in earlier in the trip). 2 out of 3 staff we dealt with were helpful, advising us about taxis, the transit system, etc. The stay there for one night was fine. Compared to the other hotels we stayed in, Lilas Gambetta was not as spotlessly clean, although it was fine. The first staff person we dealt with was not as helpful as we would have liked, being a bit abrupt and dismissive. There were several restaurants nearby, although again not as nice as the ones near the other hotel we stayed at in Paris. It was fine to stay there for one night, but I think it's possible to do better, even for a similar price.

The location was close to the metro, it was clean & comfortable. It needed airconditioning in the room, our room was on the sun side and it got very hot. It didn't have a power point in the bathroom, most men use shavers and there wasn't any power point.

Chambre très calme, salle de bains neuve, lit confortable, TV neuve.. Le prix du petit déjeuner est élevé par rapport à ce qui est fourni, pas de buffet, quantités insuffisantes. La salle du petit déjeuner est mal chauffée.

Sa situation près du périphérique; la présence d'un parking juste à côté et la proximité des bus et métro. Les travaux de réfection en cours entraînent des désagréments : salle de petits déjeuners, odeur de peinture dans les parties communes.

Dicht bij het Metro Station en dus ook Parijs centrum Hotel wordt van binnen geschilderd, troep op de vloer in de gangen, (half) natte wanden, gereedschap op de trap (donker) en de ondraaglijke stank van verf in de kamer.

Propreté des chambres. Le service de télévision "canal+" "canalsat" fièrement annoncé avec les enseignes en façade de l'hôtel, n'était pas au rendez-vous. Mais bon...je m'en suis passé. L'épaisseur des cloisons ne garantit pas le silence, mais avec un peu de savoir-vivre (retenir les portes, volume modéré de la télé...) de chacun, les nuits sont calmes.

On n'a pas trop de choix quand on cherche un hôtel dans le quartier de la porte des lilas, celui-ci à le mérite d'être là! Isolation phonique entre les chambres franchement légère, petit-déjeuner vraiment basique, moquettes parties communes à changer
