Staff were extremely helpful when we had a problem with our hire car, looking up tel. Nos, contacting the company and explaining our problem; even providing a spare pillow to raise the seat level so I could see better! Desk staff were always friendly and seemed to remember our name.

One evening there was a pet dog in the dining room. It was very well behaved but we did not feel it should have been allowed in the dining room . It was not an assistance/guide dog.

The toilet had fecal matter on the walls, and the bowl itself was filthy.

Superbly situated hotel, cool, spacious, stylish and -- thanks to an exceptionally friendly multi-lingual reception staff -- very welcoming. We arrived late afternoon after a 300-mile drive from the north and were immediately made to feel at home. Our room was of contemporary design, spacious, spotlessly clean, and with a delightful view over the rear gardens, the swimming pool, and the lake. The sun was blazing down from a clear blue sky and ironically it was a relief to be able to shut it out thanks to the heavy-duty 'black-out' curtains so thoughhtfully incorporated into the room's furnishings. The hotel's public areas are faultlessly presented and faultlessly managed, and breakfast prices are NOT (repeat; not) of the level erroneously stated by other guests -- there's a choice of breakfast menus and tariffs, and for much less than the average French motorway service area charges, it's possible to start the day in style and at reasonable cost. After unpacking and showering (excellent bathroom) we were able to saunter out of the hotel and down to the lakeside, where benches are set at regular intervals under the trees with views out over the water life and shimmering lake. The course of our journey necessitated overnight stays at no less than six different hotels in three different countries and the Novotel Limoges le Lac was despite some higher-priced competition) by far and away the best. Simply put: we cannot recommend it highly enough.

Nope: the hotel excelled in every area (including its car park: we've lost track of the number of European hotels we've stayed at over the years where car parking has been an absolute ordeal, or downright non-existent.) Here, we simply drove in, parked in a slot opposite the front door, and walked straight in. Convenience gets no better than that.

J'ai aimé la proximité avec l'activité que j'avais prévu de faire à Limoges.

Le hic, c'est que notre chambre n'était pas prête à 14h00.

90 euros est un peu trop élévé pour ce type de chambre en octobre ; et surtout on ne propose pas de forfait étape. J'étais pour mon travail un samedi soir et comme on ne me faisait pas de tarif étape je suis allé manger ailleur et je n'ai pas pris non plus le petit déjeuner. J'ai préféré faire travailler d'autres personnes. Il faut aussi savoir que derrière l'hôtel du lac il y a une très grande zone commerciale qu'avec des grandes surfaces. Cet hotel n'a qu'un côté agréable.
