Location and workers are really nice and helpful
The bed in hotel Locarno is absolutely uncomfortable. Both of us couldn't sleep. Parking reservation is over weekend not possible.
- spacious room - bathroom well equipped (basic cosmetics, hair dryer, towels, hot water & good pressure) - balcony with a view to both the seaside and mountains, equipped with table & chairs - good wifi in the room on 4th floor - v. Little noise from outside or other guests
- absolutely awful attitude of the receptionists (older woman and a man in his 30s) - smell in the lobby (pee?) - no basic coffee/tea set in the room
near to center clean
smell of the carpet
Location- close to center town. B/F- very good & sufficient. Rooms- clean. Parking- close & good.
Was confusing to find the location (with GPS)
Kindness staff, good rooms
A bit far from old city,
I reach to hotel at 18 hour i found that the hotel already take the money from the comte. The equepment of the hotel are not good (no climatisation, no mini bar....)
Moved to another room by staff. This one wasn't as noisy and had a decent sized balcony.
Stayed in a noisy room, that smelt and had a tiny balcony that was too small to sit out on.
Location, size and comfort of bedroom, excellence of shower, maintenance of bedroom/bathroom Attractive and comfortable foyer area but.."...see opp.
Mould around window frame in bathroom and on wall tiles.lack of bar along wall beside bath. Poor quality of breakfast- lack of variety in cereal and fruit. No facilities for tea/coffee etc in reception area.
cleanliness is close to zero! bed is worse than my grandmother's 75 years old bed... and even if your life depended on it you would never ever touch the bed cover. bedding had a hole in it the size of 2 fists... do not disturb sign do not exist, you have to ask for it at reception. even though, it is on the handle outside, "cleaning staff" still enter the room. no chain on the door either... you are nowhere near feeling secure. just appalling...
The bathroom was lovely and newly redone. The balcony was nice with a little table and chairs. No room in the parking but parked for free up the road from the hotel.
Although the bathroom was new there was and old window near the shower that had mould.
Female staff, friendly and pleasant
Male staff at night - smelly and super ủniendly :(
- bad moisture smell in hotel - bad smell in room - aircon not working properly - bed cover wet - not possible to change room (no idea why?)
The room smelt og mould
Great location close to beach (not on beach) and 15 mins walk from centre, train to Monaco and to food/drink areas. Little balcony in our room was great from which to sit, read and watch the world go by. Night watchman very poor demeanour - abrupt and unpleasant.
The place is not a 3 star. 1 to 2 stars at best. Decor was old. Room was small. Drains were blocked. No shower screen. Cleaning staff knocked and just walked in without waiting for an answer. The place is used quite heavily by prostitutes in the area. Can see them coming and going with their clients with significant frequency.
Just off the seafront, comfortable, and clean
The receptionist on arrival was not at all welcoming but she probably was not typical as the staff on duty next morning were friendly and helpful.
Not clean and the staff was not helpfull
The location, and the friendly staff.
The location is very nice, near the down-town (the old city of Nice) and next to the beach.
I think the staff doesn't know what means a client. They are quite rude. The bed was very uncomfortable and painful (springs of the bed)... how is it possible? I had a very bad night, in a bad atmosphere (noisy): no double glazing while the hotel is stick to a main street of Nice. 3 stars?.. impossible to me for the price i paid.
location, clean bathroom
The guy working in the reception in the evening was horrible to us, we checked in late in the day because we had been driving all day from Rome and were exhausted. He was rude and took us nearly one hour to check in
staff were very friendly except the lady with short black hair. room had balcony .vending machine with good coffee.
rude receptionist with black short hair
Fantastic hotel. Great experience. Would stay again.
There aren't a lot of outlets for charging laptops or other electronic devices. Our room had only one outlet for that, which wasn't enough.
Very very strange hotel - have stayed in worse, but only in far flung, developing countries and for single figure prices. Nice is a fantastic city, one of my favorite in the world. Location of this hotel isn't too bad if you don't care about being near to nightlife or the old city. Room was quite large, if awkwardly shaped, rundown and shabby.
Staff were impolite and unhelpful (One staff member mainly, an older lady) No parking available and no assistance with how to find any nearby. Broken, dirty baby cot provided, which we had to carry up to the room and assemble ourselves. No sheet. The child ended up sleeping in with us as there was no way I was putting him in that thing. Rundown, grubby room, at the end of a dark, dank warren-like corridor. (Fourth floor) Grubby, worn towels provided - we used our beach towels. Well worn bed linen. Breakfast was an extra whereas I'd understood this was included in price - wouldn't mind but it's too expensive for what it is and is of very poor quality. Many prostitutes in the immediate vicinity. Our hire car was also "keyed" overnight, not a good area of town. It's a good distance away from Nice old city centre - I've been to Nice a few times and love the city, but just needed a room at short notice for one night this time - No way I would stay here again, definitely not a good base compared to the value for money available elsewhere. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone, even the very budget-conscious. I will actively advise anyone I ever meet going to Nice to avoid staying here. I would be gutted if I'd booked this place for more than a stop-gap late-notice stay. It's a dump, best avoided.
Very close to the beach. 15 mins walk from turist center. Lots of places to eat and snack in the area.
no parking bad smell in the room
