Logis Hôtel Ambroise  

The location was very good, in the centre of the village with nice views above the river. though we couldn't appreciate the terrace because it was raining. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was good and the room was comfortable.

No negative comments.

Problems with wifi which was crucial to our stay. Repetitive vegetables with main meal. Breakfast simple but sufficient.

Very quiet room. Beautiful river/garden view. Good breakfast - plenty of everything.

Underground car park. Drove all the way down - too far to come back up with baggage. Found free parking in town nearby hotel. Receptionist didn't mention front door locked Evening/overnight and wasn't given key code. Had to ring reception (which wasn't staffed) from the street to get code.

It was on the riverside. So sad the weather was off. It was a fabulaous venue. Great 30/40's style French hotel

The room was comfortable and clean & the breakfast was very good with lots of choice. It had its own carpark with gates which closed at night. This was a quick stopover - we didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment further.

Unfortunately although we had booked a luxury room this was not available (the occupants had decided to stay another night). We were allocated a standard room which was fine but it was a little disappointing.

Comfort

This is a small welcoming hotel at the edge of a very attractive medieval town over looking the river. The rooms are very good value clean and comfortable. The Madame on reception is friendly and helpful and her husband who presides over the kitchen produces keenly priced menus with plenty of choice of regional dishes. The wine list is short but well priced. The car park entrance is exciting rather than convenient, the entrance opposite the hotel spirals down to river level necessitating a climb back up to the hotel. We would definitely stay again a convenient stop just off the auto route.

Lovely hotel in perfect location. We only booked this as a stop over on the way to the Loire valley and was so surprised by the beauty of Uzerche. Recommended.

food pretty bad

The owners were really pleasant and the hotel was quite comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (even a hard boiled egg!). A really nice place and quite with a pretty setting on the river.

Wifi service was iffy.

Did just what we wanted it to do - first night stop over at the start of a cycling holiday - they weren't phased at all with the arrival of two drenched and tired cyclists. Safe place for the bikes.

Léger manque d'isolation phonique des anciens hôtels.

Accueil possible jusqu'à 22h30. Bonne communication avec le personnel qui nous avait préparé un lit bébé.

Malgré une chambre donnant sur la rivière et isolé des autres, toutes les chambres semblent assez mal isolé.

La chambre était beaucoup trop froide et quand j'ai signalé au accueille ils m'ont dit que c'était assez chaud! En plus wifi marche pas en chambre. Très déçu.

Goed verzorgd, nette, maar sobere kamers, goed eten met streekproducten, vriendelijke bediening door personeel dat gevoel heeft voor humor. Geschikte en prettige tussenstop voor langere reis van/naar Zuid-Frankrijk/Spanje. Hotel ligt in centrum van een oud-middeleeuws en bezienswaardig stadje. Ontbijt is gevarieerd, niks bijzonders, maar smakelijk. Restaurant in hotel is gewoon goed.

De prijs voor een kamer is vergelijkbaar met moderner hotelkamer buiten het seizoen in Lourdes waar we dezelfde week waren.
